That seems like pointless hope. The conference is locked into a 4 year deal and allowing schools to broadcast games on local tv stations essentially amounts to a loss in revenue. It’s not gonna happen.

The conference and schools abandoned their fans in favor of a bad deal.

Its one of the major talking points of their contract. JMU and Northeastern are taking advantage of that option which is why our game in Boston this year is on TV

It did sound that way when reading the Forbes article.

DC United dumped Flo after a horrible 1 year experiment

I doubt the caa was smart enough to have a out from this deal.

Man I hope we did. CAA is selling their soul for maybe couple of million? No fan in right mind on any sort of budget at all is paying 12.50 a month for to watch this season. I’ll be following on twitter and radio stream if available

In the middle of the last decade, when the CAA was sending 2 teams (and once 3 teams) to the NCAA tournament and had the two Final Four runs, the CAA leadership was clueless as to how to convert that success into better media deals. Not much has changed. They replaced Yeager with an NCAA compliance guy. The first time I saw pictures of "Joey D" dressed up in a football uniform pretending to be practicing I knew we were in trouble.


When the world moves on, you had best be ready to move on with it when that time comes lest you be left behind....

Doing a bot of intel on the Tribe boards. Sounds like the revenue from the Flo deal will be used to "buy" national coverage for games on the CBS Sports Network, with more to come each year. If that's the case, it may not be a bad move long term. CBS Sport network is included on HULU Live at a minimum, which is becoming a top streaming service. Looks like it hits about 60 million households and 61% of homes with cable tv.

I went on FloSports Roku channel to check it out.

Perhaps Old 70s is not as tech savvy as the younger crowd here, but I did not find it very easy to navigate. The whole setup is not such that you could easily get to, say, just CAA basketball.

Anyone else actually checked the Roku channel out ?

Its not user friendly.

Less than 1 month away from tip off and one little thing I noticed is that none of our games have an audio link.

If you go to most other school's websites, they have audio links as well as a FloSports Link to their games.

So, unless they work out a radio deal it may be other team's audio feed as the only free way to follow the games.

For those who don't pay, you already lost your only game on CBS Sports Network. With a satellite dish (or if you live north of Wilmington) you can watch your game at JMU on February 1 at 4:00 P.M. that is on SNY and MASN2.
