Recruiting weekend?
At the airport sitting next to a recruit talking to his mom about an official visit. I believe his name is Robert. Did either football or basketball host a recruiting weekend?

I thought I made it clear in the OP that I heard him and his mom talking about official visits and recruiting weekends. That and the fact that he was wearing a bunch of bracelets saying things like Marshall Herd and UMass.

But I later heard them talk about Arky State, so it seems he was a bb recruit for them.

Try harder.

RE: Recruiting weekend?
Official signing day (part II) is the first Wed in Feb for football. We will be hosting recruits this weekend and next, although there aren't many spots needing to be filled.

Last I heard, more than half of our class will be enrolling for Spring semester and practicing with the team in spring camp.

Please tell me you didn't engage him in conversation and/or you've never donated money to U of M. This could be considered a major recruiting violation since we're Memphis.
