Someone had to step up and Rokkanen sure did. Best offensive game of her career, and she was playing D against Hempling most of the game, and Hempling looks like a middle linebacker so Rokkanen took a lot of punishment.

And Lockett with her first 20 point game. I think we are gonna see a lot more of those over the next 3.5 years.

Santucci 7 points, 7 boards and 6 assists and she made 2 absolutely clutch buckets when UT was behind late.

I nominate Whitaker's block for an ESPN top 10 play. She didn't just block the shot, she grabbed it out of the BG players hands, and brought it down to herself all with 1 hand. Amazing.

During halftime, I watched Coach Cullop's speech to Promedica and her philosophy of team work and self sacrifice for the betterment of the team was on full display today.

Good game especially given playing without Black. So the rockets have done an excellent job with the early MAC schedule which included 3 games with this year's bottom feeders. Starting with Central next week there are no more easier games until Northern Illinois at home in the final. We are about to find out how good this team really is.

Fun game to watch. The seniors stepped up in the last three minutes, and in OT.

With this win, and an EMU loss to Buffalo, UT is alone in 2nd place in the west.

Next weekend's trip to Mount Pleasant will be a big test to see how they measure up against the best on the road.

Exciting win, but not the Rockets' best effort. Very nearly lost at home to a team that was winless in the conference. Rokkanen made some clutch plays, but she was overmatched a bit defensively. I actually thought Lockett was a bit better match-up on Hempfling because it is harder to lob over Lockett due to her jumping ability. I wonder if Morgan-Elliot's limited minutes were due to match-up issues or the lingering injury. I love seeing Santucci and Wiard on the court at the same time. I couldn't believe Santucci was on the bench in overtime after she completely rescued us at the end of regulation. I give the Rockets credit for managing a three-point halftime lead despite absolutely atrocious shooting.
