Well, we need to win today because Tuesday doesn't look good at all! BGSU 3-1 Mac. Their only loss was at HOME by 18 points to our Tuesday opponent Kent State.

As noted above this should be an easier time than Akron. Huskies need to shoot like they did against Buffalo FG% .537 3pt% .450 rather than the pathetic .247% and .179% against Akron. BGSU has three in the double figures: Turner 17.9, Frye 14.5 and Plowden 13.2.
Frye .314% and Diggs .397% shoot the most 3's.

NET Ranking BGSU 155 Huskies 201
KenPom BGSU 158 Huskies 197

Fouls are high but fairly even BGSU 310 and Huskies 291. Even though the schedule will ease up after Tuesday Huskies need to pull this one out if they want a decent MAC tournament seed.

Nice effort from the Huskies against a very good BG team. It was anyone’s game at the end for sure. I knew we would not be able to pull it off, because we just have no ability to pull out the 50/50 games at the end. We win maybe 5% of these type of tight games. BG decides to never miss a free throw, that was the difference. German with a great effort as always, but him shooting 30% is the difference also . I feel for the program because the effort is there, we are just cursed and not able to get over the hump very often in tight games. I have never rooted for a team/program ever where i feel so defeated all the time.

German just doesn't seem to take over down the stretch. Not his fault , must be hard when there are no other options and defenses can key on you. Biggest possession of game was tied and Lacey chucks up line drive 3. He cant be taking your shot

He has the team playing hard and competing, but it is clear he is missing something and we need new leadership. You simply cannot lose virtually every close game in your coaching career without a change. He just does not have it.

Since Jim Molinari left in 1991 NIU has not had a coach with a winning record.

Five coaches after Mo...all with losing records. Little wonder why NIU fans and students have voted by staying away...

(Even Johnny Mac had a losing record when he was replaced)

Almost 30 years of futility How much more can fans be expected to support the basketball program Lets face it, mosy of the die hard fans are getting old and no one is replacing them

Our next coach has to be able to recruit and build relationships with Chicago metro high school programs...He or she needs to be someone with head coaching experience probably out of a successful D11 or D111 program
Yes, it will take money and yes, if successful, that coach will leave. Or if not, they will be fired
