RE: Rob Burke
82, right now do you prefer Siddle or Burke? I understand that the sample size with Burke is small, but you seem as high as anyone on him. I clear how you feel about Siddle, so curious to see how you'd compare the two and what's best for UNCW from your perspective.

Proven coach at UNCW with players who will be here awhile. Proven style of play against CAA competition. Defensive oriented style that works at the mid major level. Potential handoff to one of his assistants. Not to mention, if we did retain him it means he did a remarkable job and turned this season around.

Thinking ahead of Burke handing off to an assistant, I really like Esleeck's profile. Maybe wishful thinking, but I always felt like we had good assistants on staff.

RE: Rob Burke
I'm curious what Burke's recruiting style would be if/when he gets a DI HC job.

That has to be the biggest ? about him now. Can he recruit the needed talent

I would say if that guy came into my house and sold me his vision with that passion he had it would be hard to say no to him

Burke will have 11 games at the helm. If he does well he becomes a known entity. Since he plays one of two preferred styles of defense i think can succeed at UNCW, I would go with the coach that is the known entity.

His interviews are epic. Epitome of a players coach. Fans love the guy too.

Do you realize if he turns this team around he could end up as a COY candidate?

I was thinking that exact thing as soon as the game went to OT. There’s plenty of time for him to really get this thing going.

RE: Rob Burke
I never heard of or new anything about Burke until tonight. I watched the final seconds of tonight's game and Burke's postgame interview on FLO. I was really impressed with this guy's enthusiasm. He's a real character, and I mean that in a good way. He really could be a guy who can sell your program to recruits.

RE: Rob Burke
This guy had me rocking in Trask like I was a teenager again.

You see him cheering and getting pumped on the sideline and you wanna do the same. You hear him talk and you know he believes in this team. He has set a clear achievable goal for them to get to 6th place and I believe they can and will accomplish it. He is going to win more this year.

He had less than 3 full days to prepare for this weeks set and we had a chance to beat Hofstra at the buzzard and beat NE in OT. How do you think him and this team will do with a full week to prep for Charleston? I believe in this team and Coach Burke

RE: Rob Burke
Was really fun and the NE kid put on one of the best shows I have ever seen in Trask. They found a way to win,not real sure it was pretty but it's a win.

Yep. The refs called this game insanely tight so we couldn’t press like we wanted to.

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a coach so intense during his post game conferences that he’s out of breath. The guy is an animal. An absolute animal.
