Barely
I believe Clinton issued 58 in his first year and 54 in his second
Obama was pretty consistent with just under 40 in every year but one I think
My only point is, it's not as if he's paving new ground here.

I've seen other sources (not recently) saying Obama had far more than any other president.

Quote:Democratic presidential contender Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Tuesday that she would begin to forgive student loan debt on the first day of her administration, using legal tools that would allow her to bypass Congress.
The announcement, which comes just weeks before voting begins in the first primary and caucus states, adds urgency to legislation she introduced over the summer to cancel the bulk of the nation’s outstanding student loan debt.
That bill, introduced with Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., would forgive up to $50,000 in student debt for individuals with household incomes under $100,000. But Warren wrote in her plan on Tuesday that the U.S. Education Department already has authority to cancel student debt, “and we can’t afford to wait for Congress to act.”
LInk
So student loan debt for, Doctors, Engineers or anyone with a useful degree and a middle class income would be stuck with DEBT, seems fair. Somehow canceling billions of dollars of debt would seem to be detrimental to the economy since this could be used to by politicians to cancel any unpopular debt.

But what do you think happens if he gets re-elected and the Republicans don't have control of either the House or Senate (unlikely I realize, but it's certainly possible the House stays blue). If that's the case, I think his EO numbers go up in the 2nd term.
The point I'm making in bringing the link up at all is it's silly to complain about Warren threatening to use an executive order on this particular matter. Trump did a bunch of them when he first took office, the numbers went down in 2018 but back up again in 2019 when the House turned blue. If the OP is talking about Queen Liz, then by comparison we should be talking about King Donald.

So is her plan to have the gub’ment pay off the private lenders holding these educational loan notes?
Could she do it for car loans, too? That would be sweet.

Figures it would happen just after I pay off my truck, effin dems can't get anything right and their completely dumb***, idiotic, embarrassingly moronic followers don't care.

Not really speaking to you here as you probably agree.... but EOs are part of the system. Don't like it, change the system... don't feign outrage only when 'the other side' does it.
but your post implied that he was blazing new territory here... and he isn't.
What happens if congress moves right? purely rhetorical question, but under your supposition, he would use fewer... like Clinton did.
Frankly I think Trump would use EOs more than any other simply because he isn't really a republican OR a democrat. He doesn't march in step with the party, nor them with him.
If he gets re-elected and Congress moves left, I think he'll do what those who voted for him expect him to do, over the objections of Congress who were similarly elected, mostly by the same people.
I think most people are much more nuanced than simply left and right.... and EOs have been a tool of the President (from both parties) to reflect this when they feel it necessary.
