I miss him too.

Us old timers need to stick together and stay in touch. I'm not able to get to games much if at all, so if anyone wants my e-mail, send me a PM.

I started watching the game and hopped onto the Lauchpad and found no game thread. Into the second quarter - still no thread so I "launched" one. For a while it seem like no one else was watching which was a real head scratcher.

Guess a game with two entirely different halves deserves two threads! 04-cheers

BTW, how about Sarah Rokkanen’s two assists last night? Behind the back, no look bounce pass and a no look dish to her left while going to her right. Just beautiful basketball.

Great execution by Sarah, who had one of her better games handling the ball. The reverse behind the ball pass AND the catch and shot by Beach were top drawer. Made the top 5 highlights from the game. #highlightworthy

I would love for Rokkanen to be aggressive and creative more often, but I don't think that Cullop agrees with me.

If you would have told me 3 weeks ago that by this point in the season the Lady Rockets would be the bright spot in the revenue sports portion of the athletic department I don't think I would have believed it. But it seems to be true. True freshmen gaining valuable experience along with their bumps & bruises has me guardedly optimistic that Cullop may be able to build a true MAC contender in another couples seasons. Contrast that with a men's team that is playing short on the bench (at least shorter than I'd like) and has had trouble closing games out in the final 5+ minutes, and a football team that generally underachieved. Certainly room for improvement.

I agree with you, the women's team has surprised me, especially with that win over Buffalo. I thought we would finish near the bottom of the conference, but I definitely don't think that any more.

I was really impressed with freshman Quinesha Lockett. She made a spinning move to the basket that was as good as I've ever seen from a women's player. She finished second in the state in the triple jump and is a first-class athlete.
