The rumor was she hated living in a large urban city and loved living in the middle of no where. I have been to Blacksburg and Waco and both qualify for the middle of nowhere. I guess Blacksburg has better scenery. But Waco had the Branch Davidian's and the inventor of DR Pepper.

Waco has over 100k people. It isnt middle of nowhere.

Who in TF would want to live in Starkville, Aubrun, or Tuscaloosa? Sh!thole towns in the middle of nowhere. Like Waco is an anomaly.

There is almost no rural areas between Austin and Waco with Temple and Killeen and Fort Hood in between. In no way is Waco in the middle of nowhere or anything like Starkville or Auburn.

Still, its a ****** town and I hate having to do there when required.

Alabama would be a lateral move but probably is the only job that could pry him away. I would have said no way he would go there but he was born in Bama, played and coached there.

I know Va Tech fans are disappointed. He probably should have went to Baylor. He will be on the hot seat at Tech if they don't have a great year.

I would love to see former Memphis head coaches as successful as former ole' miss coaches!

Yeah, he was a WR at Bama. Heard this thrown around on goofy hot take sports shows. Dabo may or may not. I simply don't care. That's not to say I don't care about what you have to say, but once I start reading Bama/Dabo speculation I press on to the next post.

We agree on Fuente and why he would have interest in taking another gig.

I think this may have been the worst mistake he has made in his career. It might not hurt him in the long run, but as of right now the opinion of Fuente is at an all time low. Fans are not happy at all. They were already divided on him before this happened. He certainly didnt swing anyone over to his side with this.

I think you are right. I believe he didn't get the job. It seems to be a fact he did interview but turned the job down just basically a day before Baylor announced their new coach.

Recruiting got a lot tougher at VT. But coach, you nearly left to go to Baylor. Why should I play for you for 4 years if you probably won't be there that long???
