Nothing to be done about that. But any NBA studio show raves nightly about the Young Grizz.

Also, you see the Hope with the grizz they literally get better every game! The tigers look the same and sometimes even worse.

Until the Grizzlies are told that they cannot make the playoffs because their schedule is not strong enough, I will say that the NBA has a better system than the NCAA. Until Eastern conference teams refuse to play the Grizzlies and then belittle the Grizzlies for not playing enough Eastern conference teams, I will say the NBA has a better system than the NCAA. Until the NBA suspends the Grizzlies best player for something that the Lakers, the Celtics, and the Bulls also did and did not get punished for, I will say that the NBA system is better than the NCAA.

Their system could be to hand the Grizzlies the championship trophy at the beginning of every season and it wouldn't matter to me. I have however, done my civic duty and attended one Griz game since they moved from Vancouver and I do know they have Morant and JJJ on the team. That being said, if someone wanted to get me on a bar bet, I'd lose if they asked me to name the current Griz starting lineup - or even 5 players. NBA is boring and not my thing.

Final Tiger football ranking 17th in the nation, highest of the non P5 group. I'm a happy camper. GTG

Tiger basketball currently ranked 22nd nationally, youngest team in the NCAA adjusting to losing their best player, will only get better. I'm a happy camper. GTG

As far as the NBA goes, just don't care for it, don't watch it or keep up with it. When it comes to basketball, Tiger basketball is it for me.

Expectations are a funny thing
Grizz averaging 125.6 PPG in the month of January. Could have something to do with the buzz. That and the 6 game win streak.

They are a fun team to watch. The Tigers will get there some day.

RE: Expectations are a funny thing
When was the last time a true #2 overall pick has led his team to the playoffs? True as in the organization own that pick, wasn't a pick through trade or etc.

Ja is special, and he truly cares about being a good player, but an amazing teammate.
We told ourselves that if the Grizzlies won 30 games and the Tigers would be in the Elite 8, that'll be a great year for both organizations.
Now, Grizzlies can win even 40 games, breaking records offensively like it's out of this world, and the Tigers would be lucky to make the Sweet 16. The Celtics pick would be in the mid-teens, which would be great. Let Boston have that pick, and move on.

But I will say that the Tigers season, despite having a 13-3 record, has been a little disappointing, or, totally overhyped, or even both. I've been disappointed with Boogie from the start of the season, and Isaiah Maurice (who I thought was the most improving player from last years team) has taken a drastic step back. Saying that, we are lucky that the rest of the country (other than Gonzaga, Butler, Auburn, Dayton, and San Diego State) has not been on the same level. So, March Madness could be a tournament based on who's hot. I hope the Tigers can get really hot in late February.

Regarding to the expectation of the Tigers, I just told myself in October that I hoped the Tigers are not a team full of egotistic players and basically pre-madonna. I know this might upset y'all, but I feel like that's what our basketball program is about. Not caring about improving (USF game should never been that close) and fully care about winning. And yes, they have won, but they're not a threat to me in March. The draft grades will take care of themselves one day.

That's your loss, you've missed some great playoff games and some great teams. This year's Grizz have more excitement around their young core than any Grizz team ever.
