Disturbing is an understatement. Auston Robertson shouldn't even have been allowed on campus. That is all on Dantonio.

Continues a clear pattern, but I'm sure their wonderful fans will just ***** about "another hit piece" on one of their squeaky clean programs.

Per the comments section of the article, they already are.

According to some on RCMB, it’s all Blackwell’s fault and Dantonio is the fall guy, which can be considered an alternate universe. The truth clearly is the opposite, Dantonio has gone with the win at all costs approach and its coming back to bite him.
It’s obvious why Blackwell was brought onboard in East Landfill but now that he was scapegoated that rich recruiting pipeline of PSL and metro Detroit has dried up. Look at recent MSU recruiting classes. Their highest rated signee for 2020 is Percy Snow’s kid from TX. Otherwise it’s kids from OH passed up by OSU, Indiana, Illinois and Pennsylvania kids. Their lifeblood was 3-4 stars from in state. They signed 1 kid from Dearborn, 1 from GR and 1 from Rockwood.
In the years since this debacle the kids that used to go to MSU are heading to UK, Iowa, Cincinnati and everywhere but MSU. They will continue this rate of decline as long as the uncertainty of Dantonio’s tenure continues.
Western and the MAC teams are actually a beneficiary of their recruiting losses.

Reminds me of how Jim Tressel sold his soul for Terrell Pryor.

RE: Detroit News story on MSU-Dantonio
My first two college football games were MSU vx UofM in '65 & '66. I was a boy scout usher (yes, they really used to have them). MSU won both games. I was hooked.
I lived through the Denny Stolz recruiting scandal, Darryl Rogers "arrogant asses" comment regarding the team in Ann Arbor, the Muddy Waters fail, the George Perles not quite honest steroids program, the Bobby Williams debacle, the Morris Watts fail, the John L Smith abortion and finally the Mark Dantonio cover up era.
Between Larry Nassar and Dantonio's obvious judgement issues, I am no longer a Spartan fan, except for Tom Izzo and the basketball team. Even have questions there. Systemic university failure regarding sexual assault and recruiting violations. I have always been proud to be a Bronco, and no longer bleed green and white.
