Wow! I was really impressed with his play last night and he has a lot of potential.
That’s just my thought, but I just think he’s gonna he one of those guys. Glue guy, fundamental guy, leader, enforcer, dirty work etc.
Kinda like a 6-9 250/260 pound Antonio Anderson that happens to play center.
I feel the same way about Lomax too.

RE: Our Fate Is Tied To Dandridge
MD has the muscle and footwork to be a beast in the paint and totally disrupt the opponents inside game. In viewing Isaiah Stokes since his transfer, coaches are working him hard and he has shed some additional pounds and put on more muscle. At 6’8” 255, will have another force to reckon with inside. We haven’t had this much inside strength since Marvin Alexander and Sylvester Gray.
Throw in another Penny top 10 big man to replace Precious, maybe another JC transfer big, plus an additional shooter, and we will be ready to go up against any and all comers with the returning cast of players.
Go Tigers Go!

RE: Our Fate Is Tied To Dandridge
I watched the game with a knowledgeable hoops fan last night who commented on him shutting down the big dude for Cincy. When I told him he was a true freshman who missed several games at the beginning ... He was perplexed. Why haven't I heard of him before. We sort of concentrated on him for the rest of the game , just called him DOG ... barroom hooting, had a lot of fun doing it. When he left .. He turned and said Freshman huh. Of course, Precious got a bit more attention ... But DOG was a Big Hit last night !!!

That’s cool. We did the same thing. He impacted the game as much or more than anyone on the floor.

With Wiseman, we needed Dandridge to be a contributor to be a Final Four team. Now we need him to be a Sweet 16 team.
We have possessions with most of them without a single player in the lane. You can't run an offense like that. IF Dandridge can be a bit of a threat and get us 8 and 8, we can be good. If he can't we won't. He is a good passer and he makes a super high percentage of his shots. He would open things up for our guys outside and make everyone better.
It isn't fair to put it on him and if he can't, he can't and he shouldn't be blamed. This is how I see us.
I can't agree more. The Tigers biggest need is inside muscle. The Tigers need rebounds to get their running game going and Dandridge brings that. Getting more impressed with him every game. My anticipation was focused on him before the season got started and was excited to see him return even though he wasn't 100%. As his stamina increases he is going to be a stud. He has that NBA type body already not ripped like Dorsey or Sylvester Gray but if he stays healthy he could look like that. GTG.
Boogie shooting 40% from 3 is more important than Dandridge IMO...Guard is our weakpoint right now. Has been for the entire year. We need someone to stepup in the backcourt. We can get by with Q, Precious, DJ and one big in the front court. Even is Malcolm is great he is easy to take away if our guards cant win their matchups.
The guards need to start realizing who isn't being guarded and move the ball. Malcolm was open all night but they stopped giving it to him at times even though they never committed to guard him.
The guards are going to have to get better and make better decisions.

I was really impressed for a big guy, he can dribble, pass, rebound and finish and play solid defense last night.

Dandridge had 3 or 4 steals vs. Cincy. He impressed me.

Now we get a nice break to heal up. Hard as these guys play, you know they’re hurting.

I disagree. It is important for Boogie to get out of his funk, but if Baugh, Tyler, DJ and LQ are hitting from outside, we will be fine. Nobody else on the roster can do what Dandridge can do. Also, if Dandridge is good, it will make it easier for everyone else and will make the whole team better.

Penny should have a rule where Dandridge is only allowed 2 dribbles on the defensive end to get out of trouble and zero dribbles on the offensive end. He handles the ball well for his size, but he never should be.

The guy can 2 step from the free-throw line to a slam dunk. That is what his offense needs to be. Pass him the ball, he takes to fast steps to the basket and slams it.

I should have been more clear. I don't want him handling the ball at all. If he is driving to the basket, or takes a dribble or two with his back 6' from the basket, that's another story altogether, and I agree.

"Destiny" is the event that necessarily happens to someone in the future, though it can be changed with a person’s dedication, hard work, courage, and patience, whereas "fate" is the predetermined event in someone’s’ future by a supernatural power that is.
Believe you used the wrong word.

He definitely has a bad habit of grabbing rebounds and immediately turning and dribbling up court. With how well he played it was easy to just ignore that but he will have to break that habit eventually.

Yeah but that's the "problem". Penny's system encourages that.

Yes it does. He should recognize that the soon as he gets it to the guard he would be in the best position to fill the lane or grab offensive rebound.

I agree. Heck if he focused mainly on getting the ball to the guards he could also get in better position to receive a pass while filling the lane like you said.
