Did Flint get a medical redshirt? Not playing a bowl game may have affected the percent of time played.

He only played in 4 games, so should be able to take a redshirt. But who knows, he might want to get a start on an acting career.

I'd assume Flint was a rs. his injury was not major but they never brought him back which i assume was to preserve the eligibility. imo, that injury was one of the keys to the season. while the backup played pretty well, we lost lost one of the better punters in the nation and that meant no longer consistently changing field position and pinning the opponent deep. also flint is big and athletic and a threat to rugby kick or run a fake, so the entire punt game is more predictable without him.

Prior to Flint's injury Rockets were #7 Net Punting
Nationally with over a 45 yd avg. Finished #54 and a
38 yd average.

Flint does not get a redshirt. There was some crap rule about him being an international player, thus making him considered a transfer or something, thus making him ineligible to redshirt

He doesn't need to redshirt, he can take a medical hardship waiver if the NCAA will grant it. Again, not playing in a bowl game messes that up a bit as he played in 33% of the games and the medical hardship waiver rule is less 30% or less. However, the NCAA does sometimes grant this waiver for student-athlete's that went a little over the 30% mark in a case by case format.
