Alo has been our best player this year besides Precious. He just had a bad game.

This... May as well give Dandridge his minutes to bring him along. It's time for lineup shakeup and minutes redistribution. Can't say they all haven't been given opportunity at this point. Time to pare it down.

I agree Dandridge should play more...
But you have to use him...He should just be out there to set screens.
The bigs rarely get touches (outside of Precious) in the lane. Feed them the ball when they are posted. We need to start playing inside out because our guards are not getting it done creating offense.

I am absolutely fine with that. We dont need a big scorer. Precious is our big scorer. We need a big who is blocking out, deflecting drives, setting screens for our drivers, doing all the dirty work. Right now we do not have that. Maurice and Lance are not trying to do dirty work, they are trying to look pretty hanging around the 3 line.

RE: This is the minutes distro we need:
Its our guard play. They seldom shoot well from 3, they turn the ball over way too much. We have 5 guards, all supposedly really good, yet Harris is the only one with good stats, except he has an assist to turnover ratio of 0.40 thats over 2 turns for every assist.
They shoot 34.8% from 3 because Baugh and Lomax don't shoot and Quinones and Ellis don't shoot well.
They shoot 73% from the line only because Harris shoots 85.7%.
We rank 286th in turnovers, many (most) committed by the guards. The guards have 178 assists and 146 turnovers, an assist to turnover ratio of 1.21. Throw in the rest of the team and it drops to 0.88, 211th in the country.

It was a head scratcher when Precious was starting to make plays and got pulled. Then Maurice comes in and in consecutive plays, bricks a three early in the shot clock, totally missed an easy attempt at a steal, got beat to the basket like he wasn't even there, and then committed a foul. Totally killed the momentum that Precious had got going.

This is one area that Calipari managed really well. If you were not producing then you rode the bench. He knew when to tighten the playing roster and make adjustments.
I feel like Penny just wants to keep everyone happy with playing time.

Well, I continue to say, ALo is tough as nails, hustles his tail off, but as far as it goes, if he is our best pg, we are not a good team. Right now ALo seems to be our best pg, and we are not a very good team.
Agree with virtually all you said but I think Baugh might have more potential at PG especially at the rate Alo turns the ball over.

Who else can get assists?
It has been feast or famine with him this year. He either plays great or terrible. Sometimes both in the same game. I think he just tries to do a little too much on occasion. Its a tough situation where you want him to play aggressive, but not out of control.
It took Joe Jackson 2 years to learn how to play within himself.

Oh yeah, I agree with you about Baugh. Baugh has a much higher ceiling. ALo is playing about what he is going to play. I think ALo will get better about TOs, but as far as the rest of his game, there will be some improvement but he is what he is.
I wont count last night against Baugh, he was clearly sick and there as just another body in the rotation (props to him for even that much) but prior to last night it does seem as though he may have ran into that wall.
I still would start Baugh over ALo because of development. We need Baugh to be ready tournament time and I dont feel like ALo is playing THAT much better, just better right now.

If it were up to me, I would start
Alo
LQ
DJ
Precious
Dandridge
First guard off the bench is Tyler for offense, and Damion if defense is needed
First Big off the bench would be Lance......Isiah should only get 5-9 minutes a game

ALo has been better than DJ. ALo saved us in several games this year. DJ is really good but can disappear for long stretches.

They are at the 3 point line because that is where Hardaway puts them.
We need our bigs to be in positions to affect the game...Right now they are not.
A big in the post can do so much to help guards...Even if that is just sealing his man when the guard drives. But Normally our offense puts our bigs at the 3 point (even Dandridge)

We will have to disagree on that. Yes DJ needs to be more aggressive, but he doesnt make anywhere near the mistakes ALo does.

His PT plus Penny refusing to take him off scholarship make me worry that he has a blind spot with Jayden. There is just no reason he should be playing close to what he's getting. Maurice is an absolute waste but I get that we just don't have enough big bodies. The millisecond he shoots a three I'd pull a Cal and be dragging someone off bench to sub him out.

Yep, feel like that is the en vogue thing now but other part is Maurice and Thomas don't want to bang. Dandridge seems to be getting into playing shape and doesn't mind contact.

The key to managing all of this talent on the same team is to make sure that everyone has a role to play and that they play that role well. The role of the bigs should be rebounding, not jacking up 3's.

Look at the offense...
Where the bigs are 90% of the time...
I would say their role is clearly defined...We may not like it, but it is defined.
