Wazzu to Interview McElwain
Washington State is expected to interview Central Michigan head coach Jim McElwain for its head coaching vacancy.

This is a situation that could be very appealing to coach Mac and if offered, I think he'll take it.

If he does, I would look for Butch Jones to be a top candidate to replace him at CMU.

FIRE UP CHIPS! :)

RE: Wazzu to Interview McElwain
Hmmm... well, I’d have to think his stock isn’t quite as good as it was a couple months ago. After the duds that CMU laid in the MAC Championship and bowl games.

Not super concerned. Not because I don’t think he’s take the job if offered (I think he would) but because I think Wash. St might have a difficult time spinning to its fan base & boosters how CMU looked in the last two games when it counted for a championship and a bowl win.

Jones and Kelly left after MAC Championship (Kelly) and Championship and bowl wins (Jones).

McElwain didn’t win either one.

Fair points, but both of those coaches had not accomplished what Mac has already accomplished in stops at CSU and Florida.

I think he's likely down the list of preferred hires, but someone who will be considered.

Good. At least we have him for one more year (pending a good quarterback situation).

purdue is a loser situation, never will win P1G 10. Similar to Baylor. I think he holds out for more prestige P5
