Welp, thanks for the downer. Virginia is now officially on day 2 of total Democrat legislative control. (The executive offices were already in full Democrat control, thanks at least in small part to my own vote for Gov. Coonman.)

I have the remorseful sense that I've just fallen into the crapper.

VA was 46 out of 50 anyway.

I think you are reading the alphabetical listing. Hawaii is 46. Virginia is 12.

I really am glad I live here. I honestly can only think of one or two other states I might rather live in, they being Montana or Alaska but I'm way too old to live in such frigid climes. I could possible do Wyoming, or even Idaho, but again, far too cold in the winter. But they are all gorgeous country, especially Montana. It's one of the few states I've never been to and seriously need to at least visit before I die. Screw almost any of the coastal states although New Hampshire is another beautiful state but they have worse cases of inbreeding than Arkansas.

FWIW I think there are many others out there with feelings like yours and I think that translates to a red wave come election time, especially at the federal level.

They now have to pay taxes on seawater? Bummer... Before you know it they'll be having to pay taxes on the yachts themselves. But, aren't rich people the only ones that can own a yacht? They should move to a bus at least you can move around and not be found on any address book.
