Why would the President need any witness called? It's up to the democrats to PROVE their case. Why is it you cant understand that? I know it's been pointed out to you over and over. Yet you seem to still think the defendant has to prove something .

Take that up with Nancy. The comment was attributed to her.

As for vindicating him, witnesses don't need to vindicate him. They need to convict him. If they don't convict him, for the purposes of her comment, he's vindicated.


All I ever said was that she barely was able to pass the articles of impeachment despite controlling the process. Absolutely Trump did not assist her, and he's not required to. If you can't get any Republicans to side with you in the house, and even lose a few Democrats, you don't have a prayer in the senate. In the court of public opinion, you haven't moved the needle either.

Her two choices are to push the process forward and lose control of the narrative... or hang on to it and try and control the narrative. The latter plays better with her base and is neutral for everyone else. The former doesn't play as well for her base and is a loss for everyone else.

Best chance she has is to try and use it to encourage democrats to come out and vote in the next election for control of the Senate.... which she doesn't have if she pushes it forward and it goes away
