We got run off the floor.

Anyone saying that a 6 point game with 2 minutes left is being run off the court must think most games are mismatches.

Did we play well...Absolutely not.

For reference UConn was down 9 with 1 minute left in their game with WSU and took it to overtime...Were they run off the court as well.

Let's be honest here

We have so many unrealistic fans. Yes we should have beat Georgia. But our other 2 losses were bound to happen.

Yep

Really missed him in the Georgia game. We win with him on the court at full strength. Then we have both him and Damion out/ineffective/sick against WSU. If they're both at full strength that game is a barn burner.

We're going to be ok. I expect that we'll lose some more games. Maybe even tonight. But, I don't think we're a bubble team by any stretch of the imagination. I can't see this team losing more that 3-4 more games, if that many.

Right now I would say we are around a 10 seed...Which is bubble.

If we only lose 3-4 more games that likely moves us up to the 6-8 line. With the way the league is going there aren't going to be many more opportunities for category 1 wins...Which I don't think we have any at the moment.

We have 2 currently: UT and NC State. Have 3 more opportunities left currently: Wichita St, @Houston, @Cincy.

I think if the tourney started today, a 10-seed is a pessimistic view.

NET 28 (7 seed)
AP 22 (6 seed)
KenPom 41 (11 seed)
Sagarin 26 (7 seed)
Jerry Palm 8 seed
Joe Lunardi 7 seed

As of today, we're 2-2 in Quadrant 1 games. Tonight is an important game for NCAA forecasts.

UT is 72 and NC State is 52...Both right there on the edge.

Both are quad 1 wins currently. UT needs to stay in the top 75. NC State is currently 45 in the NET need them to stay in the top 50.

RE: Memphis Could Be a Bubble Team???
Weird that we got basically no movement in KenPom after beating Cincy last night by a decently bigger margin than he predicted. We started the week at #40. Slipped to #41 after Wednesday games. Then back to #40 after last night.

He continues to significantly lag all other rankings when it comes to our value.

I don't think Kenpom is going to be a good measure of this team this year.

And that is not an issue with his formula...This team just doesn't have a bunch of killers...They get up and want to have fun instead of destroying their opponent.

Turnovers are killing the Tigers’ offensive efficiency.

Agree completely...

We just aren't getting enough shots up.

We could still easily be a bubble team or even an NIT team. Way to many iffy games to play to predict given the inconsistency of this team. We have the talent for a final four but TOs, hero ball & potential injuries could leave us out of the tourney worst case.

I question whether we have the guard play to make it past the 1st weekend. Way too many turnovers. Right now, we’re averaging over 17 TO’s per game and rank 342nd out of 353 teams and struggling to beat bad/average teams as a result. We have talent, but our guards must improve.

RE: Memphis Could Be a Bubble Team???
It seems like people are judging the Tigers based on a scale reflective of a normal year, while giving every other team in the country the pass of "well this is a crazy year and everyone has had strange losses." We are a young team, and could lose any game we play because of that. We are also talented enough to beat any team on any given night.

There's about 20 teams this year in the mix, and we are one of them.
