I have now sent 4 emails to two different email addresses over the past month about increasing my donation and buying more seats. Crickets.

They are not held for us to watch on youtube...The fact that you can is a benefit.

The videos are posted by "Memphis TigerNetwork" on Youtube. The Youtube page of Memphis TigerNetwork is official Youtube page of Memphis Tigers Division | Athletic Programs, so the Athletic Department must take ownership of the quality of the videos it posts for public consumption. DallasTiger is correct. The critisism is justified.

Press conference is setup for the Press to ask questions so that they may write stories.

It is better to give us additional access by posting the press conference?

Would you prefer they not post it at all.

All you got to do is put a microphone in the middle of them, turn up some speakers and make them get up to go to that microphone and ask questions. Then you can hear the questions.

I think you are missing the obvious. The video consists of a press conference/interview, it is then posted on YouTube so that fans, students and alumni can now view the press conference so we can be involved. But...when they fail to also allow the questions to be heard...they create and post an interview that the fans, students and alumni can only hear half of the press conference. The video is not for the press.....it is for everyone else. This is a simple situation to remedy. Once that is done....now everyone else can understand the press conference in its entirety. The present videos that do not cover the questions would be akin to Barbara Walters interviewing Queen Elizabeth on TV but....you cannot hear Barabara's questions but only the Queen's answers. If all you hear the Queen saying is "Yes Barabara, that is right," or "No the royal family would never do that." You would throw up your hands in frustration and change the channel. Basically what you are saying is....it is not the responsibility of the Athletic Dept to put a quality video on YouTube. We will just have to put up with what they put out....no matter how hard it is to understand it.

As an audio engineer, it drives me crazy. It is pretty easy to at least set up a room mic or two and turn up as needed when questions are being asked when editing the video. This is some Mickey Mouse type stuff...

is that why when others post the interviews taped with an iphone
that you can hear the questions

i assume the coach/players are using a directional mic
while the iphone is more like a 360 degree mic

All it would take is a small "inexpensive" p.a. system in the room. Could be taken down in 5 minutes. If it's important enough to film it's important enough for the public to hear it. It's a waste of time otherwise.

I understand that it is not a requirement and that them posting it is going above and beyond. Other people may look at it definently.

I am thankful for what they do post

Barbara Walters and Queen Elizabeth? Lol.

Agree with your point but got anything more contemporary for comparison? Just playing.

Me too. But it is a pet peeve for a handful of folks, bless their hearts.

We could do like Richard Smith's town halls at FedEx. Get a wireless cube mic and toss it around to whomever needs it.
