Enrollment doesn't really matter though. Anyone can buy a Miami license plate if they consider themselves a fan.

It may seem arbitrary but the license plate figures are pretty relevant to watch the growth of fandom in a state, especially one that is so influential and growing like Florida. Not to mention, the pundits would love for everyone to believe that Miami still has this big fanbase and is still this super awesome power program.

Miami probably has more nationally. They're a national fanbase more than a Florida one.

lolwut? You can barely find Miami stuff outside of south Florida, yet they're national?

They’re definitely a national brand, not a national fanbase, however.

The city of Miami is a huge place. The Miami Hurricanes brand has been strong through the years and everyone in Miami and the Caribbean, Palm Beach and Broward county reps the "Canes". It says a lot that UCF has caught and pass them .. So many UCF haters ???

it's not just bragging rights, money goes to the school as a result of plate sales.

How does one acquire these stats? I'd be interested in Tennessee's stats.

I tried, but my research skills are not tailored to government entities.

Correct.

For those that don't know...these are 10 year plates with annual renewals so every year, a $25 specialty plate fee goes to the University's General Scholarship Fund. ($250 total per 10 year plate).

Its a small and simple way to give back to the University.

For those that aren't familiar with what some other states do, one can buy a TN Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State or Ole Miss plate in Tennessee.

Tallahassee isn't so bad. I lived just outside of Tallahassee from 2016-2018. They're trying, but it just doesn't feel like Florida. The downtown area has some good stuff but everything feels so spread out, and it's just so damn hot.

I went to 3 FSU games in 2 years... they stunk, but it was a cool environment and I got to check it off my bucket list. (Several more stadiums to go.)

Proof Brewing is really good. That was my go-to spot.

That's actually one of the most appealing aspects to Tallahassee...is that it doesn't feel like a normal FL town (most have so little history). Where Southern Accents are still the norm plus some of the rolling hills tell one that they are not in normal "flat" Florida.

Tallahassee has a much more southern feel vs most of FL...because as the saying goes in Orlando: You go North to feel more South. (i.e. South FL is just an extension of NY/NJ mostly).

I have to finish ten homes in next two weeks so my brain is fried

Meant vanity plates. I don’t really see much of them

I looked at getting SMU plates and it was $200/year with SMU only getting 1% so I send the money direct.
