I was just thinking about it. What percentage of the 'just plain dumb' penalties were all Marino though?

(I ain't criticizing. Sometimes you have to take the good with the bad.)

Heck, we shouldn't even really count the pass interference penalties because of all the injuries.

Think of it this way -

When Anderson was coaching us in hoops we would get tons of fouls called on us due to our pressure.

Not good at a high level, but in return we disrupted the opposing team's play so much that it turned out the reward was greater than the penalty.

Penalties are a by product of our defense - pressure, aggression, physicality - as are occasionally giving up big plays.
