Watching the 2nd. half i'm not seeing the fast break pts. and scoring we seemed to be getting in the 1st. half. Our press gives them problems but we can't get into it when we aren't scoring. We really need a basket and a stop to get this back under a 10 pt. lead.

Gadsden trying too hard. Made a nice 3 three, we get a TO on the press, then he forces a quick contested 3. He needs to relax and wait for open shots.

Not real impressed with Dodd.

Per the W&M board, for much of the game we were playing “swarming” half court D and doing a good job of preventing entry passes to Knight.

So at least that’s something positive...

The press has put us into the position of giving people trouble. But man , we can't hit the side of a barn offensively....

We actually scored more points in the 2nd. half than the 1st(not saying much), but we gave up 45 points in the 2nd. half. The press gives me hope, but we still lose. Our last win was in November.

Anybody want to put money on whether we win another game this year?

Elon is one of the best 3 pt. shooting teams in the CAA. I don't think we win.

My 78-62 prediction was pretty good.

Elon is giving up 84 ppg in CAA play, we are scoring 63 ppg. But they are scoring 72 and we're giving up 71.

Can we possibly break 70 against the worst defense in the CAA?

We weren't getting good looks tonight from the perimeter so we need more ball and player movement on offense and more ball reversals for sure. Need to get Ty and Jaylen involved earlier via inside out and players need to move to an open area after post entry. Phillips has to pick his spots to score and at times give himself up on the drive for some more kicks to shooters more often. I'd like to see him take that top of the key 3 ball on occasion to keep the defense honest as well-I do like him as a player (just a freshman). We settled for tough ones tonight. Driving the ball was as effective as anything else. It did see that Ty is slowly getting his game and legs back.

Inside post ups were not effective tonight against seniors that are 7 feet tall although Marty still had some chances. Tough match up tonight against basically an all senior team that knows how to play and were huge. I do like the press and our guards for the longer term beyond this year because they do defend and are athletic. We need 1 more big (at least) for next year that has size and can play. Rebounding was a killer tonight as their 2 huge centers had 28 boards on the night.

Dodd could be a useful 4 man down the road with more seasoning. We need another rebounder that can move feet and defend. It's a tall task to ask him to defend great size at this point anyways. Overall defense wasn't too bad tonight but you have to score on the road. One more shooter would help too in segments-see Estime. It's not just being able to shoot the ball but making yourself available for that shot as well. It's on both parties. Last year Sims, Estime and Ty were able to help each other out at times getting better looks so we need more of that for sure. If you're going small, you have to make em pay from deep. Power in numbers.

Flo Sports telecast was basically what you saw last year. It was a Tribe TV production and was fine to look at. I had no problems with the telecast.
