Roos 6-0 at Home, 1-6 on the road, and 2-2 Neutral so should be a big week to see any improvement.

The WAC sure did hit a home run with adding Cal Baptist. Not only does Cal Baptist have a better basketball arena, they also have the better basketball program. Adios Cal State Bakersfield. Don't let the door hit you in the ass.

Cal Baptist is a home run. I won't miss anything about CSUB. I hate their floor, the ugly little gym, their whiny coach and the two worst broadcasters in college basketball.

Did the CBU-CSUB game on ESPN3 the regular CSUB announcers? They didn't seem all that bad. At least they were talking about the game. The last GCU home game I watched, the announcers ignored the game completely for minutes at a time to read promotional scripts and to let Colangelo ramble.

With the season we are having, it’s entirely possible Barry and Scotty needed a break from watching the massacre and relished having a guest for a few minutes. Especially during the UNI game.

That being said they try to emulate a professional game environment. NBA style graphics, a sideline reporter, separate half time/post game color analyst from the primary two broadcasters, etc. Like the school or hate them, the quality is good and they are marketing experts who excel at shameless self promotion. Especially if you pardon Barry’s climax-esque outbursts when someone scores. Keeeeeeyontaaaaaaay Vernon!!!!!! I won’t forget those games...

UTRGV over UMKC. Won't pull a FinalFour and say we "destroyed" them but it was a solid win after being down 22-9 at the start.

Yeah, the GCU guys do have those professional announcer voices. Our UTRGV guys have day jobs, one is an Asst AD but the other is a volunteer from the liberal arts dean's office staff. At least they're both hardcore fans from way back when we were the Broncs.

So how does Vegas have GCU (5-10) a 3 point favorite over CBU (11-5)? Makes no sense based on play so far. Are there any injuries or other factors? Even with playing at home... GCU has yet to prove they can play a full 40 minutes at a high level against a strong opponent.

Agreed, doesn't seem right. Right now they've got

NMSU 16 over UMKC
GCU 2.5 over CBU
UTRGV 19 over CSU
Seatle 4.5 over UVU

I think in all four games tonight the lower rated team will beat those spreads. I'd move all of them 6 points toward the underdog.

New Mexico State's Jack Nixon best radio guy and Adam Young the best TV guy in the WAC, hands down.

Again, NMSU is good at closing out tough games. But don't pretend it wasn't tough. No way you go 16-0 playing like this.

I never said it wasn't tough. A win is a win and NMSU is on their way to another WAC Championship.

RE: WAC Basketball week 10 (WAC week 2)
GCU gameplay has been meh. Announcers are golden. For example... Scotty Thompson on popcorn: I want to shove all that in my mouth hole. Dude said mouth hole.

That makes it almost less painful to watch the Lancers school the Lopes. I thought we might bounce back and make this more of a game. CBU is a great team this year.

CBU wins against GCU. First victory at GCU since 1964.
