Moore vs. Reed
For some reason I don't think Moore has gotten nearly as much attention as Reed, but look at this:

2018 for Jayden Reed: 56 receptions, 797 yards, 8 TDs.

2019 for Skyy Moore: 51 receptions, 802 yards, 3 TDs.

Very impressive when you remember that Moore was not a wide receiver in high school. So, I have to imagine he's going to be the go-to WR I keep saying we need, especially with a full year of WR coaching and college-level fitness.

Needed the TD's. Otherwise could've had 8, 9 wins.

Seriously?

Difference between Reed and Moore is negligible... both frosh and Moore was also playing across from all freshman.

Sit down and watch what happens for both going forward.

I think with some more experience, Moore can be our best WR. He has explosive play written all over him, maybe just needs to bulk up in the gym a bit in the offseason.

It says he weighs 195 on the roster, but he looks thin, and 195-pound Greg Jennings looked ripped.

RE: Moore vs. Reed
Moore’s best route is starting from the left coming over the middle for the ball, then slanting downfield behind blocks from receivers on the right. TE coming left for a pick or touch block and then becomes a target outlet as well.

With options across the middle he needs to be strong. A winter strength program will get him there I’m sure.

Hall can get built up a bit as well. Plenty of work to do in the off season.

Yeah Jennings was rough. Tacklers would sometimes just bounce off.

Key to making Moore better is the guys around him. Hall can't be covered in practice but has trouble making space in games. He came to campus at 155# just needs to continue to grow. Bussell has huge upside and should shine next season. He had some decent schools looking at him including Tennessee while in HS.

RE: Moore vs. Reed
One huge difference between Reed and Moore was the way they were both used.... and how easily Reed was made useless with physical DB play... Reed couldn't do anything against any corners that muscled him up... but if he had some space he was dangerous... he also had sticky hands.. Moore seems to handle the physicality a little better but doesn't come down with the same challenged balls that Reed made routinely...

Think Reed is still happy he transferred? Truth is, with Dantonio gone, the offense at MSU might improve.

I think Reed was more interested in transferring to play with his HS QB teammate than under Dantonio.

I’d be surprised if Payton Thorne stays at MSU through all of this.

Tweet was deleted but I imagine it was about Reed's OWI charge in July. He was a minor at the time so he could have gotten the OWI for .02 or higher.
