Tulane taking over

Taking over what exactly?!? A lemonade stand.

Should you be redshirting or tanking or something? Looking forward to ending your season again next year

Those are tasty apples

Nice win Tulane.

Ease up though we aren’t good. Going to win some games we shouldn’t and lose a lot we shouldn’t.

You have to understand that you're dealing with a starved fanbase that was coming off of a 17 point win in a bowl game against a cursed rival.... ...only to come home and find out our first conf win in forever came early and against a top half team.

I would be worried if there wasn't energy.

There’s some crazy stat that before yesterday Tulane had beaten Cinci once in something like 20 years ? And Cinci has made the ncaa tourney 8 years in a row ? You should be please that even in a down year, it’s a big deal for us to beat you 03-wink Loving coach hunter, and to be out of the league basement.

First AAC win in 18 games or so, and Tulane fans talking trash. I love it. 03-lmfao

From another source....
FWIW:

Cincy had serious problems getting to NO. They ended up in a prop jet with three stops and 8 hours on the plane. Didn't get to NO until just a few hours before the game.

This. If it were football...against Ohio State, then it's forum worthy. Sadly, it's basketball...against Cincinnati.

UConn gave you the roadmap 07-coffee3. Careful what you wish for.

It really isn't.
We beat Cincy from time to time (it's Memphis that happens at about the same rate as Haley's Comet). Cincy's not having a great year; we shot >50% from 3 to win - it was our day.
It's a nice win; but I'm looking for a lot more of them.

We haven’t beaten Cinci in 18 games dr box. This is what you want, parody in conference. It’s funny how Cinci fans can’t just tip their cap. . . We almost beat Memphis a couple days earlier. Tulane is a different athletic program from top to bottom, with great coaches in football and basketball and institutional buy in for the first time in multiple decades. We have always had all the resources required to kick ass (few dominant D1 schools nearby, metro area,, fertile recruiting, endowment, awesome place to visit), we just had the worst AD for two decades and drove fans off. Guess what, not anymore.

LOL - no I don't want that; that's what we have been (I realize it is a typo).
Actions speak for themselves. Let's win a bunch more games. Don't need any back-pats; just wins.

RE: Bearcat 1 ... Tulane > Cincy HOOPS
Hopefully it ends up the ECU game of last season (except this Tulane team is a lot better than that ECU team). UC came in really playing good defense and had significantly cut down on their turnovers. Those two things went the other way. Part of it is Tulane's big man stepping out and going 5-5 for three (great stuff from him). Part of it was UC kept fouling and Tulane converted a ton of free throws. Impressive performance from Tulane, frustrating from UC after it seemed like they might be turning the corner. I think some of the turnovers were awful charge calls, but that's the nature of college basketball...you deal with those particularly on the road.

1. The ongoing concerns are that UC still isn't getting nearly enough from Jarron Cumberland night to night (and from Tre Scott, but that was always more of an unknown).
2. They still are shooting it poorly from the outside...like incredibly bad (and UC is never a great or even very good perimeter shooting team, but this is worse).
3. Wings sometimes allow too much penetration and when that happens they foul too much.

UC leads the all-time series between the two schools 27-12. The Green Wave beat the Bearcats in 2014-15 with a last second three. The last win before that was in 1990 (of course the schools did not play 2004-2014).

A tip of the cap to the Wave. Save for the 1980s UC has been playing hoops at a championship level since the 1940s. We are down-- but we will be back to form sooner than later.
