RE: Texas judge sides with hospital over parents on termination of baby
On a basic level I have a problem with a hospital making a life or death decision over a family. The family is generally more invested and doesn't have the potential conflict of interest (whether they will be paid for service) that the hospital has.

That said there are times when a family does not make appropriate decisions. If the hospital is telling the truth, the child is suffering in pain everyday and their is no hope that she will improve. In such circumstances, it seems cruel to force the child to live artifically on machines instead of letting her die naturally. I hope the courts make the right decision for this child whatever that may be. My heart goes out to this poor child.

Just a horrible situation all around. No parent wants to give up hope, but sooner or later you have to make the best choice for your child.
