I was fooled by the weak early schedule. So was anyone who thought this team has the potential to win a couple of games in the NCAA tournament.

CALM DOWN, PEOPLE .... Kent State is the nut game, and frankly a much better matchup. Heads up Knapke/Jackson likely better than Whittington/Pippen ... if if BG's big guys???? can get them in foul trouble, Knapke/Jackson should work them over pretty good.

Even if everything else is a wash, Toledo still in good shape to go get a victory. Also, doubtful KSU can put together back-to-back efforts like BG, where they frankly were very impressive. Not this early in the season???

Last season the Rockets started 0-2 in the MAC (blowout losses to Ball State and Buffalo), but turned it around and finished 13-5. There's always hope!

The dance seems out of reach at this point. It could be an overreaction, but my sentiments about the ND game are now evident after 4 straight losses.

I'd like to go 11-7 at worst in the MAC on a year to year basis, But can we go 9-9?

As usual, O'Brien gave a coach a long-term contract {through 2023-24} for not being able to win meaningful games.

But, but, but, we have so many MAC/West-division and NIT runner-up banners for mens & women’s basketball hanging around Savage Arena these days..
Not to mention our numerous first place recruiting accolades along with our token one in fifteen years title in football...
Now if that does not constitute long-term contracts for TK, TC, and JC, than I do not know what else does... Come on MOB, ink out a new six year deal for everyone, then watch them coach future games in a a half empty Savage, and Glass Bowl...

Not sure if I recall this right, but UT was up by 12 with 12 left in the first half (17-5). Next thing I know, they are down something like 32-20 with a couple minutes left in the half. Because I DVR'd the game, I fast forwarded through the second half until they got within 4, then it was tied, then they were up by 1 - followed by another collapse and they lose by whatever it was 7 or 9.

Found the best way to watch this team play, which is the same way I watched the football team against Buffalo and Central Michigan. Only for those games, I could turn it off at halftime and just go to the end to see the final score. Best way to keep the blood pressure down and turn a 3 1/2 hour nightmare into about 30 minutes of cynical laughing at their ineptitude.

According to the box score that was their largest lead. It came a the 12:26 mark in the 1st half.

I’m a 76 year old Rocket. (A&S 65) and at this point with Coach K in control I don’t think I’m going to see a Rocket team in the NCAAs. I think he’s a coach that too often gets out coached. The announcers on yesterday’s game remarked about how well prepared the Ball defense was. I watched the entire Kent game and we’re really going to have to play our best game to win at Kent....doubt that. They have a lot of team speed.....something the Rockets appear to lack. Also, watching the Rockets Play last night there really doesn’t seem to be any cohesion in their play.

Until O'Brien is gone, things won't change. We have basketball coaches that can't win but get contract extensions.

Interesting side note-I just noticed that there are no MAC teams with losing records at this time.
