First look at possible 2020 football depth chart: offense
Just for fun, here is a first shot at a 2020 offensive roster. Hopefully more new signees coming in February and as late signees. This would be a great year to take a few high talent grad transfers to fill a couple of key gaps.

THINGS TO BE EXCITED ABOUT
1. The youngest Olinemen are a reason to be excited for the future. This years signing class has the appearance of the best crop of HS signees under Clark. Im thinking of 2021 or 2022 when we have Motley Simmons, Trey Bedosky, W Rykard, Zaire Fluornoy (who may be our most under rated early signee), and Zach Taylor all with a redshirt and a year or two in the program.
2. Big, talented tight end in Maleak Bryant.
3. Werlean Pollock returning. Hopefully.
4. Watkins and Mitchell returning.
5. Two experienced, talented QBs who each made a boatload of in game big plays and mistakes, and hopefully learned and grew from them.
GAPS
1. My opinion; the Oline was the team Achilles heel in 2019. Lost two graduating senior starters who were injured half the season. Lots of returning experience there. But IMHO we still need 1 to 2 JUCO or grad transfer Olinemen, who are immediately ready to play, unless Trehern, Vardaman, Motley-Simmons or one of the freshman signees are ready to step up and compete for a significant spot in the playing rotation. If i had to pick one from that pack showing up in the early season it would be Vardaman, and Motley-Simmons perhaps mid to late season. More specifically, we need a right tackle with very good feet, and a road grader guard able to pancake an FAU Defensive lineman in next years conference championship game.
2. Need young, tall, fast WRs. We signed no WR out of HS the past two years, except Brown who is now a RB. Seems to be a similar strategy to our Oline recruiting the first two years of the return. Only PWOs out of HS with only a few exceptions (Nuss). Depth, age distribution and experience at WR right now are a bit alarming, unless the coaches are moving over some younger DBs to WR. Hopefully our 4 star JUCO signee from 2019, Johnson, steps up and lives up to his ratings. He played in several games this year but did not catch a pass.
3. Need a burner at RB. Maybe thats Pollock if he is fully recovered. But we need someone with enough vision, burst and speed to find a crease and take it the length of the field any play, someone who frightens defensive coordinators. We do not have such a back right now. Little Brown is the closest, quick as a cat, but not yet clear he is a break away back.
4. Need a remarkably talented, highly mobile, undersized and overlooked QB who can prove to be a wild card success as a third option. Maybe from Juco.
