RE: The race not to convey
We're going to be on the border of that draft slot one way or another. The new lottery rules make it much easier to move up, as evidenced by last year. Finishing 4-9 would make it a crapshoot to convey or not. Just win. Teach the kids how to win. Keep players that can help you win over the next 3 years. The 2010 team learned how to win late in the season, made the playoffs the next season, beat the Spurs, and the rest is history.

Ja and Tyus have 3 more years together. The FO doesn't have to worry one second about the PG spot for those 3 years.

JJJ, Clarke, and Jonas have 2 more years together. That's going to be one of the best frontcourts in the NBA by then.

PG and Bigs are the hardest positions to fill in the NBA. Wings are easier to find. Looks like Allen, Dillon, and Melton can bench pieces to a good team. We add one more significant wing over the next 2 offseasons and this roster will be as good as any roster we've ever had.

Anderson, Hill, Crowder are the expendables. But if they help teach Ja, JJJ, Clarke how to be NBA players, the[/font]n they are more valuable with us than being traded for 2nd rounders. And honestly, their PER's suck, so keeping them may actually benefit the pro-tank crowd anyway.

I doubt if we can get a 1st rounder out of him. Maybe an early second round pick

Hill is dead weight @ 12 million, deal him anyway possible.

Iggy is gone for Courtney Lee and at least the 2020 GSW 2ND round pick, likely early second, and possibly a 2022 pick as well.

Dillon Brooks thinks he is MJ. If anyone else does move him.

Melton needs to go if anyone wants him

No doubt somebody wants Crowder, send him for the best deal.

Courtney Lee will be repackaged or dealt in a 3 team deal.

Why Melton? I think he can be a relatively inexpensive player but still part of the young core. Dude does a lot of good things on the court and is still developing.

Yeah he is good defensively but we need another explosive player, jmo

As a bench player, I think he’s good. His offense is farther along for a defensive specialist and will keep improving (I hope). We need an explosive wing player as a starter.

Yeah, I don't think we need to deal Melton to get a good wing.

I'd be stunned if we get a first for him. Mid to low second plus a salary dump of a player, and/or maaaybe a low minute rotation guy the fo thinks has potential.

I think we will keep one of Melton/Brooks, with leaning toward keeping Melton.

Crowder
Iggy
Hill
Anderson
Brooks
Melton

All are expendable. I hope we keep Val another year or so as his contract actually declines in $.

I can see at least 2 first round picks and 4 second rounders in exchange plus a couple of decent players.

If we move Val make that 3 first round picks.

The Grizz seem to think they will get a 1st rounder out of him, that's what counts. Thank goodness you or Mike Wallace aren't negotiating this trade.

Iggy will net a very good return. Everybody has seen what LeBron has done with some rest. Iggy should be ready to rock and roll for a playoff team.

Everytime I start to sour on Jae Crowder and Dillon Brooks they pull off a game like they did this afternoon. Hard to believe we hung 140 on the Clippers winning by 26.

Ja was looking to score from the start. That made a big difference.

Grizz win two of 3 on left coast road trip including smoking the Clippers

Val with a huge game tonight.

Dillon Brooks is feeling it..

Grizz move to 15-22 on the season.

Looks like we are going to surrender our pick to Boston.

If Spurs lose tomorrow to the Bucs (very likely) we’ll be in the 8th spot with an upcoming 6 game home stand.
