The Future of EMU Football (Hint: It is Bright)
Good interview with Coach.
https://youtu.be/LefoCR0TBfE
Talks about the Glass incident, recruiting, etc. Mentions that the recruiting class is smaller because 3 seniors were injured and will be returning next year.

I should have mentioned it.
I think we had 22 seniors honored for Senior Day, two of whom were not scholarship. That meant 20 scholarships opened up. However, those 3 other seniors (Eddington, Holford, and Phelps) will need scholarships as well as others on like Beydoun, and the JUCOs who played w/out scholarships this year.
As they say, "A lot of moving parts."

I'm convinced that there is a large contingent of EMU alums, fans, etc. say within 15, 20 or 25 miles of Ford Field who most likely would not drive say 30, 40 or even 50 miles to Ypsi.
E.g., Warren to Rynearson is about 50 miles. Warren to FF is is roughly 15 miles. Royal Oak is a dozen miles to FF. Royal Oak to Rynearson is 45 miles.
Rochester Hills to FF is 25 miles and almost 2x that to Rynearson. River Rouge is less than 10 miles from Ford Field.
And if we have alums in midtown Detroit, they can walk or the QLine or Uber... :)
Yeah right. Pay $30 to park, 6 for a hotdog, 5 for 32 oz soda, 9 for a beer. For. a $15 ticket. Been there done that no thanks. Uber would be over. 50 for a round trip. . Next time do a cost benefit analysis first.
Hold on.......Are you saying the game day experience at Ford Field would not be worth it? Were you at the bowl game? It was awesome. I went to 3 games at Rynearson this season and the experience was unfortunately horrible. Total lack of concession stands, long lines, waiting over 20 mintues for a "Hot and Ready" pizza, outdoors. I love the idea of having a game at FF. What is the downside? Players and most importantly recruits would love this.
Years ago, Eastern played at Ford Field against Central. The game was incredible and the atmosphere was great. It was a double header. If I remember correctly, the first game featured Hillsdale and Wayne State.
Eric Deslauriers took over. It was beautiful.

In the Genyk era EMU played CMU, WMU, Navy, and Northwestern at FF. The attendance and atmosphere was nothing like Thursday. Rynearson has issues but those can be fixed for far less than the cost of renting FF.
Beer is cheaper at Rynearson too. Lol.
BOOM! Nickle just stuck the beer dagger into my Ford Field balloon. LOL.

Ford Field would be neat every few years maybe - i think it might be a better idea to push for toledo to be the last game of the season. push the 'rivalry'
