Since UT has announced their 2020 opponents already I thought I would share this. Really figured that this would happen with MAC Champs Miami being competitive again

Last UT Miami games
Miami in Glass Bowl October 22, 2011
Rockets in Oxford October 31 2009

Other MAC East opponents since

UMass A 2014 H 2015
Akron H 2012 2017 A 2013 2016 2020
Buffalo H 2013 2018 A 2012 2019
Kent H 2015 2019 A 2014 2018
Ohio H 2016 2020 A 2017
BG Annually

If there was a true rotation of the five schools other than BG, everyone would play everyone four times in 10 years

Are there other anomalies like this in the league? Does every school have one opponent that’s rare on the sked, or is this just one real strange quirk?

That's insane. So much was different in most of our lives the last time these two should-be rivals played.

Inexcusable for 12-team league, imo.

So wait, do they play again this year?

And wondering if it has a lot to do w/ UMASS just throwing everything off and Toledo vs Miami being the match-up that got messed up.

It should be easier not harder to get all the teams on schedule with 12 rather than 13 teams. If Toledo and Miami get scheduled in 2021 it will have been 10 years since we last played. For conference opponents that's rediculous.

RE: Miami Oh vs Toledo in football
As I post every year, quit ducking us Toledo. The last time UT came to Oxford (2009) it was our only win in a 1-11 season. We did our part this year to try to meet the Rockets in the MACC, but UT kind of folded mid season.

The MAC has been scheduling on a two year rotation, which means we will play the same crossover games in 2021, just in the opposite stadium. So the ony way we are going to play is in the MACC ( it did happen in 2005).

It seems like we play at CMU just as often as we play at our MACEast opponents. At least 4 times since we hve gone to UT.

I figured it was a MAC office charity case for a long time. Miami was down so don’t schedule it.

Miami Oh vs Toledo in football
I will share in another post at a later date but I have taken a couple hours and figured out a rotation of opponents between 2021 and 2032 that would allow for a rotation of opponents and have three occurrences of conflicts that can be resolved with a switch of the eight team rivalry rotation with the conflict.

Basically I want a keyboard to type the post instead of my phone. It works

When's the last time BG and Ball have played each other? In theory they'd have the same issue.
