RE: 2020 FOOTBALL SEASON
With the coronavirus potentially impacting the season, I've heard some float the idea that non-conference games would be cancelled. Obviously our entire schedule is non-conference. We'd only get the chance to play about five games tops.

Ian said they are talking to the other INDY schools just in case. We’d probably play all of them

UMASS (H&H)
NMSU
BYU(H&H)
Army
UCONN(H&H)

We’d probably do a couple H&H same season deals to get to 8. I know they’d try to get ND but I would be shocked if we would pull that off. They’d probably try to fit in an FCS game too.

I believe ND and ACC already made deals for the school to play other ACC schools if it comes to that plan next season.

ND would have the 5 acc games, Stanford, Navy and USC.

RE: 2020 FOOTBALL SEASON
2020 Schedule
@ Va. Tech
N.C. A&T
@ WKU
FIU
@ Bowling Green
La. Monroe
@ Syracuse
S. Miss
@ UConn
W. Carolina
@ N.C. State
UMass

What 3 Games are you most excited about this season?

1. @ WKU - I plan on going and meeting family members there. It’s in my home state and a lot of family graduated from WKU.
2. FIU - I plan on attending this game and hope to bring some friends for CFAW. That’s the real reason this one is exciting.
3. S. Miss - I think it will be a good barometer game for us, similar to that Troy game was. S. Miss has a proud football history. It would be a good game/win for us.

1. Virginia Tech: Our fellow Virginia school, a Power 5 ACC opponent that opens the season. What more do we need? If that weren't enough,. it's the season opener and we have a lots of turnover that is having increasingly less time to gel before the season.

2. NC State: I think this is a great opportunity for an upset. They play on the road at Syracuse the week before and play rival UNC after us on the road. Plus they are the next state over and are a football school.

3. Syracuse: They get a close nod over UConn due to our game last year and wanting revenge over them. Plus, they are another ACC school.

UConn deserves an honorable mention. It isn't so much as excitement to play them but the idea of it being the start of a long series with us both as independents.

If it was later in the season, I'd feel more confident about it, but this could be a rough one early...

RE: 2020 FOOTBALL SEASON
Interesting. I plan on going to the WKU game and meeting a bunch of family there. I remember the days when WKU relied on outscoring their opponents. Hoping for a win, but know WKU is a quality tough opponent.

I think we might miss our QB, WR, RB more than people realize. That was a ton of production.

I might make the trip from Nashville for that one too.

RE: 2020 FOOTBALL SEASON
Western Kentucky is a solid program. Five of the last six and six of the last eight seasons were bowl seasons. I don't feel like they are that much further ahead of us. Should be a good game.

HCHF talking about the 2020 season and operating as an independent in FBS. Starts at about 4 minutes into the video. Ends at about 38:30.

RE: 2020 FOOTBALL SEASON
How will COVID-19 affect prep for season?
I know all teams face the same circumstances, but LU is breaking in a new QB. Missing so many practices, will it take three or four games before things fall into order. Would that have been the case anyway?

I gotta say, they're getting better & better with their analysis. Props to ASOR!

Yeah I agree. They got a few people off the forum to start writing as well. I think overall they do a good job.

RE: 2020 FOOTBALL SEASON
What if a team on our schedule doesn’t play this fall due to COVID. Do we try and replace them?
