Good to see the kid from Elizabeth City get some minutes. He brings energy. And,It was good to see some other guys get into double figures. Their 2 man went off and we couldn’t answer with our 2 man doing the same thing. Bottom line,we need to be able to score on the road or at home. And, we can’t let a guy go off. There were some baby steps tonight but lessons to be learned as well.

Btw,listened to the game, but it sounded like their 2 man was a beast and we didn’t stop him.

Holidays or apathy setting in? Before CAA play? I hate to say it but my flo package expires beginning of January so I’ll be checking box scores mostly from here on out. I have tickets to a game in February so that may be the only time I see them in CAA play.

It's not much fun to keep making the same (dismal) observations over and over.

When was the last time (or the first time) anyone wrote, "Man, CB McGrath coached a great game!"?

I honestly wish I could say that. I really do. I would LOVE to see him succeed and see this team succeed. We simply do not have the roster to line up and play other teams one on one. We just don't.

I can't stand watching us have success with the press over and over...WHEN WE'RE DOWN 20 POINTS, then forget it ever happened. It is not a defense of desperation for a team like this. It's a first choice...WINNING defense for a team like this. EVERYTHING looks better on the court when we press. I actually get pumped, and you can see the guys get pumped, when we apply full court, full pressure defense. The energy is up, we cause turnovers, we get easy buckets. We look like a team that can actually WIN.

Alas. I'l say this and we'll go on the road for three more games and nothing will change except greater frustration and apathy for everyone involved with the program.

Don't miss the post by Hawking about Toews. Sounds like the life raft will be filling up soon.

Maybe there will be 4-5 of us still posting later in CAA play when we put one or two together to discuss the greatness? This team has enough pieces to win. I think the staff will pull together a few game plans good enough to win a few.

Its hard to post and comment when all you can do is listen and check stats on your phone

If this is in fact the case with Toews, we may be a spark away from a dumpster fire. I truly hope this is not so.

I have pretty good info that it's true. And i'm afraid Gadsden could be next.

I hate to say it but aren’t we already at the point of a dumpster fire? Haven’t won a game against a D1 opponent in December in over 2 years which is pathetic. On top of that any game against a decent D1 opponent is a guaranteed loss due to our inability to compete with these teams. We haven’t kept any of these games close (losing by 15+ every time). Also, the losses to both Cleveland State who is a really really bad team and Mercer who isn’t much better.

THIS..is the point everyone. We are a D1 team in category only.
