Fanta: All-Decade BE Team

John Fanta gave his All-Decade Big East Team this morning.

G K. Walker, UConn ('08-'11)
G J. Brunson, Villanova ('15-'18)
SF J. Hart, Villanova ('13-'17)
PF D. McDermott, Creighton ('10-'14 - Big East, '13-14')
C A. Delgado, Seton Hall ('14-'18)
BN T. Blueitt, Xavier ('14-'18)

I would have added K. Dunn, Providence ('12-'16), M. Howard, Marquette ('16-'19), K. Martin, Butler ('14-'18), R. Archidiacono, Villanova ('12-'16), S. Ponds, St. John's ('16-'19), and O. Porter, Georgetown ('11-'13) to the bench as well.

IMO, I think to much value was assigned to a player's best (last) season, and too little on the overall body of work. McDermott was only in the BE for one season (which was sensational), but guys like Dunn, Martin, and Archidiacono played all four years.

McDermott though far more important than a guy like Dunn quite frankly.... He put/kept the Big East on the map that 1st year.

btw, you should have been on the HLOH 1st team.....

my 1st team- GW11, billyjack, jet, Adoraz, and gtmo.

for here ROY is definitely Bill Dazzle

I don't know, Stever. You're 1st team level on two different sites. You set the bar high!

Just seeing this. I'm the ROY (I assume that's Rookie of the Year and not code for, say, Roustabout of the Year)?

I kind of like that! Thanks, gents.
