Where have I heard this before ??
They have said for years that recruiting is an inexact science, so hopefully Candle & his staff will maximize what they have incoming, and also the younger kids in the program ... Some may be a gamble and some are can’t miss natural athletes... We shall see what plays out down the road...

Top recruiting classes don’t seem to correlate with championships. NIU never had one and they continually whip our ass.

Well, my dreams of signing the 6-3 230 LB will have to wait another year...

There’s still time left. I’m happy where we are for now. And as it stands the class can only get better

How many more players can we sign this year?

Most of the guys that size are playing DE now or they're 5* recruits...you sign a 6'3"-195 LB who can put on 30 lbs in a College weight room if you want a guy with those measurables.

From the looks of the photo they used for marketing, it's going to take Garret Schweibert 3 years just to get to the size and muscle mass he needs to play OL at the FBS level. Yikers he's rail thin...

Well just looking at the surface. Just the amount of players. Toledo signed 18. BgSUCKS signed 30. In fact the top schools in the Mac all signed more players than UT and we still have the top rated class. But as mentioned by myself and many others being considered the top class hasn’t really proved a thing. What happens on the field is what counts. If we can’t compete then why are we here.

We'll sign at least a couple more in February. The exact number will depend on who might be leaving the program and the exact number of scholarships open. That number is still somewhat TBD.

But the number of players signed is a function of open scholarships?

Campbell's last 3 classes ranked #84-92 nationally.
Candle's first true class is the 2017 signing class.
They will be Seniors in 2020 or 2021 if red shirted.

I know we have some room left in this class. I see Jaylen Kelly-Powell, who is now in the transfer portal is still available. We like those Cass Tec guy’s sounds like a good fit to me

I don't pay any attention to 3 star athletes ratings anymore. What I looked for now, is
NEEDS. UT did well with offensive linemen, not so much with a running back. Coaching, coaching and more superior coaching will be the key.

That is definitely a concern of mine too. We need to either look hard at the D III DCs and some of the P5 position and DC assistants. There are some out there that are eagerly waiting for their chance

I'd like to see a good RB in the class, but watch for Micah Kelly over the next couple of years. He played some this year as a true freshman. IMO, he's going to be special.

3 years is a drastic exaggeration. Realistically, he needs to add 45 pounds. That is completely reasonable to do during his redshirt season/offseason headed into his second year assuming a proper regimen of lifting and diet.
