That is some weird matchups.

Atttendance listed for the UTSA game was 712. The Baylor game (which began at 9:34 pm) didn't even have an attendance listed, but some folks on Baylorfans claimed it was even less than that for their game. Odd scheduling to be sure, especially a week before Christmas.

Maybe this was a tax write off event for Toyota. Did anyone see any pre-event marketing for the games? If they were trying to lose money I suspect they were pleased with the results. I feel sorry if anyone was trying to sell drinks/snacks to the few in the seats since their pay is largely based on sales.

But you don't get a tax write-off without losing money first.

This was just a stupid idea. Those were just stupid matchups. Three games on one card is nuts. We all know how far the Minute Maid Classic (or whatever it is called) gets off schedule with three games. And Baylor is not a draw as your headline matchup. This had to have been arranged by someone who didn't know what he/she was doing.

Should have had a Rice-UH game on the card.
