I know that. But how close did UT recruit either him or the Whitmer QB kid who went to BGSU? Or was Gavin Hall, the player UT wanted over the others ?

Toledo offered Riley Keller years ago. Don't know if they were still pursuing him.

They backed off after the injury last season and commitment of the kid from GA. It was pretty much just BGSU who was working him after the injury, so it was probably just feeling the love. Plus, I believe his father played baseball at BGSU in the 90s, so the connection was there.

Lichtenberg had UC,Ohio BG and UT as his top four. He's class of 2021. I really like the QB we got for next year. Keller really fell off the recruiting charts.

Brady is better than Roback was. Just tremendous accuracy with the deep ball. The SJJ lack of hands really hurt his numbers. The kids film, explains why he completes like 55% of his passes. Dude can throw it like 60 yards in the air and weighs 175lbs.

Lack of hands?! They've got 3 D1 players at catching passes for them (Mitsopolous to Miami, Ryder is a PWO somewhere, and Zsiros who has 10 D1 offers as a junior) and he completed 68% of his passes last year...

Imagine if they'd had hands! They might have stayed within 30 points of Anthony Wayne and their inexperienced QB.
Lichtenberg is going to be fun to watch next year, regardless any of this receivers have hands. B-ball player too. Old school.
Cinci (as you no doubt know) has the incoming Mr. Football from Cinci Wyoming who will be behind rising junior Ritter. Similar in that the both call their own number a lot. Lichtenberg is a contrasting recruit for them. Unless Fickell is stuck on staying in Ohio, also a reasonable shot he moves to a higher program.
I don't think Lichtenberg's recruiting days are over.

That was kind of the SJJ M.O. for years...they couldn't take a hit to the mouth and keep playing. Plus, AW kind of lucked out, with all of the tape out the window, SJJ had no idea how to defend against Alberts (who I'm shocked wasn't the starter to begin with).
Alas, I think you're right on that...it does seem like an odd early commit simply because of the log-jam in the QB Room down there. I think Prater is 4 year starter material, meaning a redshirted Lichtenberg would still get 2 years to be the man after Prater leaves.

7 dropped passes, two for wide open TDs, one for a pick 6 in the Regional Semifinal game vs. CCHS. 7.
