Norvell and Company signed the QB they really wanted. Four-Star QB Chubba Purdy from suburban Phoenix, AZ. Flips From Louisville to Florida State. Four-star quarterback Chubba Purdy announced his commitment to Florida State on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period. Purdy committed to Louisville in June but flipped his decision to the Seminoles.

Yeah. I was checking out FSU's reddit when that came out about Norvell saying he wasn't a good fit. I mentioned to them that didn't sound like Norvell and more likely he was told he had to compete for the job. Plus Sims said not long after he would still keep FSU as a potential target. Why do that if you were told you are not a fit? A few of them did not seem to support the source of the info either, but I have

That's the other thing that's interesting about the situation. Jeff Sims is listed as a dual threat QB and so is Chubba Purdy. I've seen highlight vids of them doing both so I still have a tough time believing Novell told him it was fit, unless he didn't fit with the idea of competition.
