MyBB KSU vs NC A&T @ Don Haskins Tourney
Same game time as last night. No word I’ve seen on who’s playing or not.
Flashes favored by 14. (And I wouldn’t give those points versus any team tonight after last night’s fiasco.)

I really enjoy how well the radio is picking up Sendy's conversations. Adds so much entertainment value.

This is an absolute joke. Trying to go through the play-by-play to count how many fouls someone has.

Played like crap until OT. Then opened a can. Thank goodness Mitch hit that 3.

Funny that this will look like we won comfortably on the schedule if you overlook the little 'ot' next to the score. Seemed like rebounding and free throw shooting were a big problem tonight. And what seemed like a 10 minute scoring drought didn't help.

I wouldn't say that. Before tonight we were getting 71.4% of the rebounds available on the defensive end and 30.9% of the rebounds available on the offensive end. Last year we were 70.3% and 33.7%. The year before we were 70.3% and 31.7%. Before tonight we were pretty close to on par with where we've been, but a little behind our typical pace on the offensive glass. You're probably remembering the NCAA tourny year where we got an absolutely absurd 38.7% on the offensive end but I'd call that the exception rather than the norm.

I stand corrected .... just seems w/so many players being considered above average rebounders (Whittington, Pippen, AC ... plus Mitch and Booman for their positions) Kent should be better.

My bad.

We ESCAPED tonight only word for it. Beat a mediocre team that hasn’t learned how to win. We were listless for 36 minutes. Thanks MITCH for saving this one !

Indeed ... several MAC teams have already played some stinkers ... Buffalo/Army, Toledo/UMKC ... and lost them. Mitch was indicative of the team ... could have cost Kent with the bad timeout call ... but saved Kent with the 3. To play so bad and somehow win ... let's hope this team gets its act together or what could be a pretty good season could go south before the second semester begins.

An object lesson in why wagering on sporting events will shorten your life. If you bet KSU -14, you spent two hors grumbling and assuming your money was lost. If you bet NCA&T +14, you had the game in your back pocket for two hours and were congratulating yourself on your astute wager. Then Mitch Peterson happened, KSU improbably went on a 17-3 run in OT and either your KSU bet was suddenly saved or your NCA&T bet suddenly went south. In both cases, it was a push and all that stress and sweat was for the same outcome that people who didn't bet had.

Unless, you grabbed half a point!COGS

I am sure the lower bowl will be empty on Saturday but I really hope our attendance picks up this team deserves it.

Did anyone see Purdue was at Ohio U? Wish we had a few like that on the schedule.

Purdue at OU was built into their football contact. THAT is what we need to do.

They also had 6000 fannies in the seats . Way smaller market but people support the team. We remove seats and tell students they are not welcome. As a 25 yr + season ticket holder it’s frustrating. This could be the end of the road for me . They just don’t respect or care about the fans or donors at KSU .

FYI. Mitch had 5 fouls on him when he hit the 3. Refs and scorer missed it. Reason he didn’t play in OT.

Wait is that real? Was one of his allocated to Simons or did he really have 5 in the book and they notify anyone? What an absolute sh!t show.

If I was an A&T fan I'd be furious. Then again, if we lost on a missed last second three attempt while our best 3 point shooter had fouled out on 4 fouls I'd also be furious. Is this UTEP's field hockey fireworks debacle?

A friend of mine at work asked me about this too. The play by play on the Kent St. site seems to confirm it's true. The take foul with 8 seconds left was his fifth. (1 foul in the first half, 4 in the second)

Peterson story about 5 fouls is true. I was at the game and told this afterwards. My source is impeccable. Stand by the story. Refs and scorer messed up

In fairness, even if A&T noticed it they probably would've kept quiet. Peterson has the worst 3 point % outside of Bainbridge. They probably got exactly who they wanted to take that shot. Our best 3 point shooter was on the bench with a much dispute "5" fouls. Anyone hear if they confirmed how many fouls Simons actually had?

P-B-P has him with five ... No. 4 at 1:13 and No. 5 at :46.
