RE: Duquesne
I was at the game and had an awesome time. I think it was just me, Ralat's family, and (I'm guessing) the Ehsan family. My hands and throat hurt from cheering so loudly. Ehsan's daughter (again, I'm assuming it was her) would chant "MISS ITTTTTT!" every time Duquesne went to the line, without fail. It was super cute.

It's been a while so I'm trying to recall what happened. Benjamin has a ton of trouble against press. He turned it over frequently when he was being pressed with the ball...I think this has been evident for a while but it seems so uncharacteristic of him considering how smooth he is with the ball otherwise. I hope they continued to work on this because it's a problem, and everyone keeps going to it against UAB.

I'm sure people want to hate on playing a tournament in a DII gymnasium that wasn't on TV, but I absolutely loved the experience. I got to hear everything the coaches said, and it was really interesting to get that kind of insight. I.e. There was some foul on Tamell that he really didn't agree with. Ehsan talked to the ref, and eventually agreed with the call. Tamell kept pleading his case and you could hear Ehsan tell him to let it go.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I really couldn't care less about getting multiple bids in this conference. If it's such a bad conference, then UAB, with it's basketball history, should be dominating. I'll continue going to every game and supporting the team, but my expectation is to win the conference every year. I don't think we should settle for less.
