RE: MAC Net Rankings
Akron being over 50 spots ahead of BG is proof that these rankings come out too early. BG beat Cincinnati and WKU (with a healthy Charles Bassey), while Akron’s best win is a 6 point loss to Louisville. Neither team has a bad loss, but only one of them has decent wins.

I think the Zips will be good, but there’s no way they should be that far ahead of BG, or ahead of them at all, really.

RE: MAC Net Rankings
Akron wouldn't be 50 spots ahead of BG if Turner had played the past 4 games. Injuries in themselves will make any metric flawed if it doesn't take those into account.

Here's the problem, as I mentioned on another thread ... these rankings are the result of too many losses to other mid-majors. Toledo, Buffalo and BG are prime examples of being ranked way lower than their actual abilities.

However, when those teams rise up vs. Akron and Kent, as several are likely to do ... those teams will rise marginally what A/K will drop dramatically.

Facts of life then you lose too many games to comparable or lesser competition.
