Nice pickup! He started 20 games for us at center in 2018/2019 and was solid, if not spectacular. He got beat out last year by the younger Jake Renfro. Yup! Would rather not play against him, but happy he landed at Memphis instead of playing for Flakey Butch Jones at Arkansas State!

Met his family once when we played Navy @home and they were great people that made the drive up IIRC from Alabama for each game so hopefully this cuts down their drive time.

They especially loved the Navy game as Cincinnati has many Navy fans and put on as good of a show as I could expect both on and off the field. Good luck to Jakari just don't beat us!

Yeah, we hired his DL coach from WKU, that’s a main reason he came here.

3 star TE from Florida picks Tulane. He chose the Green Wave over Miami, FSU, Ole Miss, Indiana, and usf, among others.

Tackles are an odd stat. I used to get roughly 25 a game. It wasn't because I was a super stud, it was because I was the only one that really knew how to tackle.

Side note, thank god horse collar wasn't a rule in the early 2000s, or my signature move of grabbing the neck of the shoulder pads from behind and going limp would have been a real problem. We would have easily given up 70 per game.

He’s one of the highest rated players to commit to Tulane (13th) and will play WR ( our position of need).

So many new pieces...either transferring in like Big Kat from Auburn and Barber to Davis opting back in.

New system, new players....they just need to improve and play good, not even GREAT and UCF will win a lot more games. (LB's are the weakest link...and new secondary will be under fire but hopefully with a better pass rush...they too will improve).

I am so glad of the hire of Malzahn. UCF may not be NY6 this year, but, like Frost, that will change in the next year or two. That was not happening with Heupal.
