Monster 3 days for UCF with these top 3 additions!
Cincinnati has had a few commits in the past couple days.
Yesterday, we got a commit from 4-star linebacker Trevor Carter out of Ironton, Ohio. He is ranked #258 in the 2023 247 composite rankings with a rating of 0.9092. https://247sports.com/player/trevor-carter-46100229/
This morning, we got word of 3-star QB Luther Richesson's commitment. He is #903 in the 247 composite rankings with a rating of 0.8566. That said, he appears to be very underrated. He participated in the Elite 11 camp and held his own with 5- and 4-star prospects, with 247 rating him as the #5 QB at the camp and Sports Illustrated rating him #11. He plays on a team coached by Trent Dilfer, and has MAJOR arm talent. https://247sports.com/player/luther-richesson-46102641/
Really hoping we can hold onto Kaleb Webb. He's a 3* WR.
We offered him first and he committed early-ish. Since then, he has BLOWN up and has received offers from: Michigan, Kentucky, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Houston, UCF, UVA, Vanderbilt, Louisville, and many others.
There is optimism that we'll hang on, but once teams like Michigan get involved, it is tough.

Yes, he is a really good looking receiver. Hope we can keep him.

247 has both of those players rated higher than the composite so it makes me wonder if some of the services are lagging behind in giving them a bump. Specifically for Richesson, who seems to be under recruited partly because of Covid keeping people from evaluating him, partly because he didn’t participate in many camps, etc… after the Elite 11 247 bumped him to an 88, and I can see an additional bump with his Senior Season.
Either way kid has a cannon and he looks so effortless when throwing and the ball still jumps out of his hand. Really impressive and I can’t wait to get him on campus.

He is reportedly still committed to ECU. However...he has blown up from a composite 0.8082 to an 0.8681 recruit. He has since received offers from Tulane, Vandy, UVA, Georgia Tech, UK, Tenn, Ole Miss, Louisville, SC, UCF and Houston.
Webb also received an offer from Michigan on Nov. 5. He will be attending the Cinci/ECU game on Friday.

Quote:Committed to ECU since June, Webb has drawn offers after a breakout senior season with McEachern (Ga.) High School from the likes of Michigan, Tennessee, Louisville, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Houston, UCF, Kentucky and more. But the three-star prospect has stayed committed to the Pirates this entire time, and he will now return for his second game day visit of the year, and his fourth overall trip to Greenville.
Webb visited twice in June, picking up his first offer from East Carolina, and returning for his official visit later in the month, and committing to head coach Mike Houston. The Georgia native also visited for the South Carolina game inside Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium on Sept. 11.
In between that time and his return visit to ECU, Webb has also taken official visits to Louisville and Michigan, and game day trips to South Carolina and Tennessee. Webb has told 247Sports he's thinking about taking an official visit to Tennessee in early December. In the mean time, Webb's return trip to Greenville will be an important one to once again reunite with the ECU coaching staff and players on the team, all of whom Webb has a strong bond with.

Eugenio is currently ranked as the nation's No. 71 overall recruit, per the SI99. Among edge defender projections, he sits at No. 6 in the initial player ranking.
Damn it, I really hope ECU can hold on to him. They've had some really good receivers over the years.
In others ratings-related news, 2022 Cincinnati commit JQ Hardaway has been bumped into the top 200 on 247, making him a 247 composite 4-star at 0.8971/309th ranked nationally: https://247sports.com/Player/JQ-Hardaway-46085351/
Along with Mario Eugenio and Derrick Shepard, Cincinnati currently has 3 composite 4-stars committed to the 2022 class, as the class ranks 30th nationally with a 0.8625 average.
Cincinnati lands a nice commit from 6'4, 285 lb 3-star IOL Evan Tengesdahl who is currently ranked as the #17 prospect in the state of Ohio 2023 class. Cincinnati already has commits from 4 of the top 20 players in Ohio for 2023. Evan projects as either a guard or center at the D1 level. Really nice pick-up!
