Fritz typically goes quiet and then locks down a ton of kids on signing day. By advertising out there, other schools will often poach the players you want.

RE: Football Recruiting Thread
We also had a large turnover in coaching in the last two weeks (OC & DC & OL coach). We just made the hires but look to be hanging around the 18 signees for the early date. Some new names Kai Horton, QB Carthage, TX - Jaden Jones DE Montgomery, AL - Jake Weir QB Tupelo, MS

Would be a tremendous get. If these programs develop the talent they have committing this conference is going to surprise some P5 schools in the next few years.

All 24 Bearcat recruits are reportedly signed. The staff can now fully focus on the '22 class, which they've already been crushing.

Ugh. Lost out on our highest rated recruit, 4* OL Byrd.
Life goes on.

Rough week for SMU on and off the field. Oh well, at least we are winning 7 games a season.

The fact that it was down to you and ou says a lot about smu's recruiting. Can't win them all obviously but you guys have a lot going for you and it won't be long til you bring guys like that in. I mean you got that 4* qb recently right?

These look promising...
Won't impact recruiting rankings, but will hopefully start to restock the shelves. We did lose a recruit who flipped to Virginia Tech. Also kind of love the way they've branded the signing class as ScottsTots21

We're also apparently expecting at least one more 'surprise.'

Memphis has signed its top 3 commits, 2 4 stars and a 3, all wanted by good SEC teams. Andrew Jones, Tyrell Raby and Greg Rubin.

Can any Tulsa fans explain what the **** is happening down there? I mean, that just looks like Phil Montgomery is phoning it in because he won't be there in a month.

RE: Football Recruiting Thread
SMU, Memphis, and Cincinnati are really doing exactly what they need to in order to become VERY good programs. Recruit every player in your state who isn't immediately gobbled up by the big boys (Alabama, LSU, OSU, Clemson, etc.) and sell playing time and 10 win seasons vs. mediocrity in most of the other P5 schools. More and more kids are siding with us now and it's starting to show in the recruiting trail and on-field product.
If 2021 and early returns on 2022 are any indication, I think we're going to be continuing that positive recruiting trajectory and potentially start challenging the ACC (-Clemson), Big 12, and Pac 12 soon enough for public perception.

UC with 24 signed LOI’s by around 8:30 am...on to continuing to build upon that killer 22’ class. I don’t miss recruiting a class all the way until February’s signing day.

UCF gets a commit from a 6'10 OT from Germany. Had offers from Florida State, Minnesota, Arizona State.
Sounds like he's coming to UCF with a chip on his shoulder. My favorite type of player!

Hopefully he can understand snap counts better than our 6'9" OT from Germany

The metric system is probably throwing him off...
