RE: Football Recruiting Thread
Per 247Sports:
On Thanksgiving, SMU landed a major commitment from the Dallas area in Duncanville (Tex.) wide receiver Roderick Daniels, who decommitted from Baylor on Sunday. Daniels is one of the top receivers in the state of Texas, enjoying a strong senior season for the state power.
According to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, the three-star prospect comes in as the No. 121 overall wide receiver and No. 115 overall prospect in Texas. On 247Sports, he's ranked much higher, coming in as the nation's No. 71 overall wide receiver prospect and No. 64 overall prospect in Texas.

Baylor had lost a ton of recruits this cycle it seems. A few seem to have ended up in the American, if I recall correctly.

Love reading their board where fans are saying they need to call the NCAA as SMU must be paying players again to get kids away from blue bloods (inferring they are a blue blood).

Tulane's class is going to be odd due to a shift at the OC position. We're going to lose MS targets and then probably find some interesting replacements as the new OC can also recruit.

Navy's Just Different
And we're underrepresented in 247. We don't have a dedicated 247 page, but Rivals we do - publisher is the former top Navy independent blogger.
Rivals shows 61 Navy commits in the class of 2021, 247 shows 28.

Tulane just lost our QB commit Keyes. I am less worried about it now than I was before. Tulane now must keep and develop Pratt at ALL costs.

RE: Football Recruiting Thread
Joseph McKay commits to ECU. Pretty impressive offer sheet.
Three-star RB Joseph Mckay commits to East Carolina
"McKay played his high school football for Central in Phenix City, Ala., making him the second pledge of the class from the state as he joins Hueytown offensive lineman Richard Pearce. McKay is rated by the 247Sports Composite as a three-star recruit. He's the 58th-best running back nationally for the 2021 class and the 38th-best player in Alabama. Coming off a monster junior season where he ran for more than 1,200 yards, McKay held all sorts of major scholarship offers, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida State, LSU, Memphis, Ole Miss, Tennessee and more."

Will add quality depth to an already young and talented backfield. ECU also picked up a commitment over UNC earlier this week from 3* CB Jayden Chalmers.

How the hell are you an 85 composite (81 by 247 which is my favorite) at 6'1 and 215 pounds with that offer sheet?
Who cares. Congrats on the pickup!

Im with you. This one totally surprised me. I think it might be his 40 dash times. I think 4.9 Could just be he not good at running 40s and deals with the football in his hands. Film seems to show he has a real knack for "waiting" for blocking and finding the holes.

This kid is an athlete. He reminds of the the kids Logan used to recruit. He can catch the ball and can run. He played WR in the NCHS championship but now is evidently focusing on defense. Might be a future kick returner also. He can fly.
