One of the most interesting job searches will be at Southern Miss. The Eagles could go in an interesting direction with former Iowa State coach Larry Eustachy, former Mississippi State coach Richard Williams, or former Chattanooga coach Mack McCarthy. It may head in the direction of a head coach like Kermit Davis Jr. of Middle Tennessee State. But the success of UAB head coach Mike Anderson, a former assistant at Arkansas, bodes well for the Eagles to go with an assistant like Mississippi State's Robert Kirby and Florida's Anthony Grant. But Cincinnati assistant Andy Kennedy could be the best fit. He played at UAB and is a native of Mississippi.
