Played ball at Briarwood. Led em to state title. Went on to MTSU. Returns to briarwood a few years later as OC, they make it to state championship. Dabo then hires him on, at Clemson. Works his way up there, then follows Morris to his next 2 schools as his OC.
Joe Craddock is who I assume you are talking about.

Arkansas was paying him $600,000 a year. I'm pretty sure Chad Morris called the plays though.

Criteria: can and have they called plays at the college level? have they gotten results that led to wins? Did they recruit the players they were successful with? Can they recruit?
Vincent’s better years were in ‘14 with McGee and Helton’s recruits. Then he took over guys he had no part in recruiting last season and had a stellar year.
Here’s the average ranking over his 5 years as an OC(UAB & USA), not counting ‘17 when he was fired in September.
Total FBS teams on average over those 5 years - 127.8
Total offense - 78.8
Rush offense - 62.8
Pass offense - 82.8
Scoring offense - 76.2
1st down offense - 77.2
3rd down conversion - 74
That looks like just good enough to sneak into a bowl on average.

Yeah if I'm Joe I say that about a dozen times in the interview. That offense was a dumpster fire

Getting someone who was an SEC coordinator last year as a position coach sounds like a good get for us. Bonus points for him being local and young.

More like Garrick McGee, who was OC for Petrino at Arkansas. We thought it was a good hire. Turns out Bobby Petrino is Petrino's OC. McGee held a clipboard and made sure that eleven guys were standing on the eleven dots on the rug before the punt team ran out.

At least McGee came from a good Arkansas team, not the worst team in the modern day history of the SEC.

As we unfortunately found out,,, GM could definitely "talk the talk", but he walked with a very bad limp.

RE: UAB loses assistant FB coach to Mizzou
The point is that if he’s gonna be a position coach, great. Still gonna be questions on why you’d make a hire at OC, of someone who supposedly hasn’t called plays at the college level. Moreso, are you gonna change the offense and open it up or continue to micromanage things in hopes your defense wins one possession games vs 0-2 wins teams?
