We're working on it. And we wouldn't be joining the conference, we'd just be coming home. All y'all had no idea what we had to go through just to get winning football.

We're working on it, give us another year or so and we will be worth taking a look at.

Winning in the AAC is a lot harder than winning in C-USA.

Signed,

ECU

I don't know about that. We were able to win the AAC without ever winning C-USA.

You guys had a chance to go get a coach who can really turn you around... and I am not in love with who you hired. SO many good coaches with experience, recruiting ties and the whole package. Well see, but I think yall missed the boat.
I tend to think you and CSU have a ton of potential but I keep seeing hiring choices that are questionable at best. WIll may end up being a good coach, but ive seen too many times when an FCS coach moves up that its a steep learning curve. Id have waited till he was a coordinator at the FBS level for a bit before giving him this shot.

Wake me up when they actually get a stadium thats not the same size as the high schools in Texas.

The one I played in sat 10k which isn't too far off from Charlotte's.

Should be hearing something on that in the 1st quarter next year. We're paying for the previous AD's lack of drive and ambition, but Hill seems to have things moving in the right direction.

No one and I mean no one in Charlotte gives two craps about UNCC.

Its a commuter school for people that couldnt get into/and or afford to move out of city to the other school in NC/SC.

No one in SC even knows you play D1 football up there.

You guys are on crack if you think this is happening.

Significantly more people live on our campus than attend your school.

4411

6,000+ (82% of freshmen)

Note that another 10,000 students live in nearby off campus housing.

We have 140,000 living alumni and nearly 80,000 live in the Charlotte region. Each one is a potential fan under the right conditions without having to reach beyond our own graduates.

The commuter school thing is laughable. I could have gone to any public school in the state. I was accepted to every school I applied for, including the 'premier' ones and chose Charlotte because I loved the campus and what they had to offer. I lived on campus as a Freshman, and immediately adjacent to campus the remainder of my time, much like the other 10,000 students that live around campus. I guess if walking to class from across the street makes me a former commuter, then so be it.

Our students on and adjacent to campus make up a population larger than many good sized schools have in total. In addition to athletics, my wife and I frequently make it out to on campus plays, dances, and musical performances. It very much has to offer the experience that a large university should provide. Saying otherwise is ignorant, but you've already shown enough for me to know that you are just that.

People have said the same thing about USF and UCF... were not talking about UNCC being a powerhouse soon, but I do see a ton of potential there and they have something most other candidates that these crackpots on this site do not have... a top 25 market. Like it or not, they would be in the top half of market size and their BBall used to be solid.

I can see them growing but I dont know if it will be in time. Things are gonna change in 2025 and it think it might be the last major round of realignment.

They love to use the commuter school crap to attempt to slander. Theyve been saying it about USF even though were about to break into the top 100 schools in the nation, were already top 40 in research and in Florida there are only 3 schools that are ranked as PreEminent... UF, FSU and USF.

By all accounts this commuter school is higher ranked than MANY in the P5.

Nah. Maybe 15 years ago but the only people who still repeat this "insult" are the butthurts from UF or FSU who still think this is a relevant dig.

UCF is getting 45,000 applications per year now and admitting only about 7,100. The majority of whom are not even from Orange or Seminole counties.

I lived in Charlotte from 2007-2010 and it was rare that I saw any UNCC stickers, apparel, etc. The only real exception being when I went to the University area to hit places like Flying Saucer, Boardwalk Billy's, etc.

I didn't count... I just recall it being so rare that I thought "Oh, there's one" whenever I saw one. You wouldn't know there was a large university in the city.
