They probably would have defeated ODU this season.

ODU was 1-11 and barely won against NSU. Stating who could have defeated ODU this year is not saying much. The program was not meeting FBS standards and appropriate actions were taken.

The only reason ODU didn't have to "worry" about any team playing North Dakota State on ABC (this past season) is simply because they didn't play them.

Exactly, and for good reasons. Let’s just keep the conversation to what’s important. ODU football at the FBS level and its upcoming FBS opponents.

ODU has one FCS game this year. During that week we can discuss FCS football.

I didn't bring up or mention the JMU game initially. At least a half dozen people including yourself alluded to the game prior to my brief comments about how they might have been able to get ABC over the airwaves with a specific antenna.

Everyone already knows that ODU plays at the FBS level. If any fans on this forum wanted to bring up, mention, or discuss an FCS team or game, it's not your place to dictate to them when or if they can.

Everyone knows ODU plays FBS football and that's the way it should be. My hope is we keep the conversations to how to build a better FBS program.

Keep in mind the FCS conversations seems to always be about one team in particular. A FCS team ODU doesn't even play. Now if you want to talk about Hampton, a FCS team on the schedule lets discuss when we play them.

07-coffee3

5 post into your time on the board and 4 of them have been about telling others what they can and should discuss in their post and when they should and shouldn't do it. Not a good look.

If others want to discuss JMU or anyone else that's their prerogative to do so. Anyone that isn't interested in their discussion can skip over their posts. Frankly I don't care about JMU either which is why I didn't have anything to say about their game other than that either team would probably have defeated ODU this season, and how one poster might be able to get ABC with a different antenna. And guess what ... if ODU hires one of their football coaches then JMU will very soon be mentioned again right here on this forum whether ODU played them on not.

This is done. I'm guessing they're waiting until tonight's National Championship game is over.

Somebody in the know help me out... what exactly are the roles and responsibilities given to a GA. Is he essentially running drills, making sure there is enough gatorade at practice? No game planning, scheming, etc?

Andrew Jackson was called Old Hickory, a name his men gave him because of his toughness. Just trying to figure out how it ties in with ODU. What am I missing?

I would sure like to see the - Tight End involved offense we have been promised for a number of years.
Also brings a National Champion ring with him. Not a bad thing to have on recruiting visits
