The Cure Bowl is gonna be a lot of fun when it moves to the Orlando City MLS stadium next year. New facility, close to downtown shops/bars, and the 25k capacity will look great on TV

I was hoping UCF would play App St in the Cure Bowl this year. I think it would have been a good game and drawn national interest. Good luck to the Sun Belt in all your bowls.

This year's game will be in Orlando's MLS stadium. Next year, the bowl game broadcast is switching to ESPN. I could see it moving up in the Sun Belt bowl pecking order too.

Nice! Hope your travelling fans have a good time. It's a great time of year to visit Disney/Universal too since the lines are more bearable when you're not standing in Orlando's sweltering summer heat

I would hope it moves up to Number 2 or Number 1. A rotating commitment for the champion between NOLA and Orlando would be nice, particularly if the tie-in is attractive.

The one thing that I find funny is Liberty plans to use the us against the world mentality but overall GS fans are not against LU. We mostly stayed quiet and had a “don’t care” mentality when the chatter about joining the belt a few years ago was floating around. We had a few vocal on here but most didn’t care either way.

I think the league champion should be able to take their pick of SBC bowls, especially considering how geographically diverse the conference is. Just makes too much sense for that to ever happen.

I think we should do away with bowl tie-ins for all bowl games, and establish a pecking order that starts with the CFP and ends with the Myrtle Beach Bowl. Then bowl games can choose match-ups from the list of available bowl opponents based on anything from record to proximity of the fan base.

Better stop with that logic.

In my opinion that may be a bit of a generalization. I haven’t heard or seen any talk like that from LU fans in quite a while. It’s all been about out opponents and their merits.

I missed you guys......
Excited for Liberty to have a chance to get better and take another step into uncharted territory for us on Saturday. I'm excited for the opponent to be a very respected Georgia Southern program. I think it could be a very good game due to defensive match-up issues on both sides. i say take the over (58). I've got 34-31 Liberty.

Looks like inclement weather game time. Seems to be GS's mO this year. Thanks for the back handed complement. The two go way back relative speaking. The reason this game peaks curiosity is the nice match-up and location for Liberty. Congrats! It's that respected thing that get's GS solid match-ups week in and week out. You have a 60/40 shot. If the 60 shows up you have no shot and the beat down could get nasty. If the 40 shows up the reverse is likely. More solid play late but both sides of GS's game remains unpredictable. This game could solidify that this team finally turned the corner into a solid GS team. The bowl win would be huge for both.

Looks like rather than the GS/LU logos the Cure Bowl went with the Sun Belt and LU logos.

Which is pretty lame. I mean, I get it, but still lame.

Typically the team names are in the endzones so it's not an issue but this time they chose to feature the bowl name in the endzones. So Liberty will be the only one of the two of us with their name/logo on the field.

Typically you'd have a team that's in a conference, but I'd rather see something different done with a team that doesn't have a conference.

Is what it is, but it's a little lopsided.

Agreed. That's why I wanted it pointed out. The GS logo should be there.
