What do Liberty students and Georgia State fans have in common?

They both seem to only exist online. Rimshot

Again, you have the lowest attendance in the conference. This is sad.

You’re right. If only we could ever hope to pack the house every week like Georgia State does.

Y’all said there were 12,501 people at this game. Were they all in the bathroom?

I hope one day Georgia Southern can match the sheer size and strength of the behemoth that is the Georgia State fan base, but where on Earth are we going to find the dozens of individuals needed to meet those standards?

Any name suggestions? Quite a thread of rich, delicious comedy bites

GS holding out hope they brought as many fans as Liberty in a losing effort is sad.

RE: GaSo vs. Liberty in Cure Bowl, could it be any better
I'm not reading through the rest of this thread because I'm still kind of numb from the game, but I will say that I was extremely disappointed in GS' performance in the bowl, but felt it was a good recap of how the season has gone. Looking completely inept on offense and having moments of brilliance on defense. Playing methodically slow on offense for fgs, poor redzone execution, and really not looking like Georgia Southern football is supposed to look (or has looked in the past).

I think Lunsford is a good coach but he really needs to look hard at this staff and their abilities to prepare our team, regardless of injury, opponent or circumstance. Luckily I have 8 months to get over this and get excited about 2020, but 7-6 feels like it's miles away from where 8-5 would have felt.

At this point Lunsford needs to drop DeBesse and poach Grant Chesnut from KSU. Scoring machine. In fact, wait... Don't do that.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUAL "INTERST" IN GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY.

That goes for you and the Twitter poster so obsessed that he took valuable time just to take screenshots for a tweet almost nobody cares about. Talk about living your best life. I have not seen a GS crowd shot nor do I care... at all.

Meanwhile the NOLA bowl had its lowest attendance in 15 years, so what’s your excuse?

Shouldn’t you be in your own bowl game thread desperately trying to frame that game as anything other than a last place bowl game that was forced to pick Ga State and would have chosen literally anyone else if they could due to the fact that Ga State is going to bring -3 fans to that game?

Panama, you have posted more than anyone else in this thread. This thread, which has nothing to do with Georgia State and was just about GS and our bowl game. So I ask you, who really is obsessed with whom?

GS fans had a four hour drive... Come on.

Also, App brought the fans. Our sections were full and rocking. UAB looked to have maybe 1100-1500 fans. Tops.

I would say the same thing about GS and Liberty. GS sections were full and the pictures from the game show this. Not a single Liberty section was more than half full and most only had a few dozen people in them.

Well that was the most embarrassing loss for the Sun Belt that I can remember in a long time. But if it had to happen to one fan base in the Belt....
